My best town read so far is Tim based on his soft claim. I don't think he would do that as scum even if they were given fakeclaims.

mitch is in my top three hardest reads of any player I've encountered. I can never tell what he is. The question is: would he hammer + clap about it if he was scum? That's pretty damn bold in both respects if he's scum.

I see what you're saying about wing and it we're fortunate that he was only a VT, but I disagree with his attempt to try to draw the lynch knowing that he was VT. If he was trying to fall on the D1 grenade, he got votes from town just as much as scum. Like you said, his first read on Mets was off, so I don't think his other reads have a ton of credibility either. If he saw that a claimed PR was about to get lynched and then tried to fall on the sword, that's one thing. History will judge his actions as we see different people flip throughout the game.

fpd

Thank you for confirming my read on you, Tim.

Mafia has always (?) a night kill. It means there will probably be more night kills. I believe that town has a SK also and that he shot Streaker.
Mafia night killed Mets, though that doesn't make pretty much sense as Wing already said he could be mafia. If they didn't shot Mets, he would probably end lynched today and that would be 2 town kills for mafia.

im thinking of going vote madmitch because as dakky has mentioned before hes constantly getting a pass, and as Epi said hes ne of the hardest to ever read so lets put pressure on him and allow him to spill his guts so to say make it for a eaisear read on him.

Dakky you claimming streak could of killed mets last night i can say for a fact he did not do. i had 1 night kill and used it with the fact that wing turned town as he claimed and checked if his theory of mets and hotshot was correct. in hindsight it was a really bad kill on my behalf and it was my only night kill. so now we have to figure out who killed streak

unless the mafia dont know who the mafia is and they night killled there own guy but i dont think that happened so iif mafia has a night kill then there should of been 3 guys killed last ngiht compared to 2 (unless they choose not to kill anyone)

Mafia know who all of them are, and AFIAK they always have a night kill, though it can be blocked, and they don't have to use it. Streaker may have been blocked somehow (or chose not to kill anyone) and killed by mafia, or in some setups, I think a cult leader dies if they try to recruit scum - I think it's up to the mod.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong about any of this.

You confusion may be that Streaker was mafia - I think recruiters are always cult leaders.

IDK - serial killers are normally self-aligned, though the mod can do whatever he wants.

Wait, TIm shot Mets? I thought Tim was protective. :-s

If Tim shot Mets and mafia killed Streaker, it's possibly Streaker used his 1 shot recruit and there is another killer on the loose.

thats why i called to know who killed streak either way streak being dead is a good thing 1 less mafia and 1 less serial killer running around however we need to know who shot streak.

I re-read the whole thread, and I don't have any solid conclusions yet.
  • I'd love to lynch mitch just on principle - hammering wing was a bad move whether he was town or scum. Does he do these things just to see what he can get away with? Is he 12, and can't control his impulses? IDK, but I'd like to teach him a lesson.
  • Dazza is still AWOL - I'd like to get some pressure on him to participate.
  • I've got a bad vibe about Dakky. His vote for mitch may be the only reason I'm not sold on lynching mitch yet. Wing misread mets as scum - did he misread dakky as town?
  • Bad vibe also about aage. I don't have much of a read on his play style - he was kind of aggressive and impatient in my only other game with him.
  • I don't quite know what to make of Tim - I kind of assume that he is town, and wasn't directed by mafia to kill Mets and then spill his guts. Did he misunderstand his role when he said he was "a protector of someone"?
I guess I will vote Dazza, but will change it if he shows up or someone more interesting emerges.

Fp'd by Tim - never heard of that kind of role... but that's not saying much.

nope i didnt misunderstand, let me rephrase it so its better understood to yah,i can protect a certian role however without saying what that role is i cant do it and if i say that role then im guessing the mafia will target that role to die.

an you are correct mafia did not direct or pay or anything me to kill mets did it on my own free will. now i could of kept it to myself and had the whole game wondering who and why both was killed and stired the game in a tottaly differant directon but i didnt want to mislead any other town folks

sorry wing, I was wrong,we also lost the town cop which by the way thought wing was scum.the real problem is Daz both streaker and Deg both voted against him, we know streaker was scum so what is Daz? is he town or scum? was streaker voting to throw everyone off?

Serial killers are always one man parties. I've never seen a game with a serial killer team. Starting from there, most of the discussion by Mitch and Tim is moot. We will learn nothing about people's alignments from Streaker's interaction with other players.

Also, the fact that Wing misread one player doesn't mean all his other reads are 180 degrees off. Stop trying to justify a scum read by referencing to a dead VT who knew less than we do.

Initially I assumed Streaker shot Mets, but this claim from Tim is surprising. Just for future reference, if you're vigilante, don't shoot on night 1 based on a whim. Mets is probably very pissed off atm, and we are too. You shot the cop. And you're a protective role? Why does a protective role shoot people? I'm gonna go on a limb and say the protective bit is based on flavour, in which case you're reminding me of Mitch's play in HP mafia.

Mitch's hammer is nothing a town Mitch wouldn't do. I don't see it as particularly scummy, particularly since I supported the lynch - one might even say I triggered his vote. Policy lynch might be a bit too much, but I agree that he should learn some manners.

Also, we seriously need a replacement for Dazza if he keeps being awol. Mets or Wing might be willing, seeing as they have no vital information about the game outside of their roles afaik. Even Streaker could sub in if he didn't recruit anyone.

Wing is on the replace list. I have not asked anyone else if they wish to replace or not.

Announcement

This has been retroactively made the Official Game of August. This means that I will be offering 3500 Credits to the MVP of the winning team. In addition, I will be offering another 3500 credits to be split evenly between two players of the losing team that were recognized for playing well despite the loss. If this is objectionable to anyone please let me know in thread and/or PM.

Unless this game is very different from most, streaker was third party, so scum probably killed him. Streaker probably had no more info than anyone else, so he probably was trying to look town yesterday too, and his reads/votes don't mean anything more than anyone else's.

Tim seems to be very forthcoming with his role/what he did, even though it turned out he killed the cop. Unless he is very good at putting on a false face, he seems like a newby revealing too much, and is probably town and telling the truth.

Mitch did hammer too fast, we still had a few days left we could have talked about stuff before the hammer. Of course that isn't very alignment indicative for mitch, since he could do that as both town or as scum, he just likes hammering lol.

Dazza does need to show up or be replaced, I won't vote for him for that since he should be replaced before being lynched.

I think HS has the most plausible scenario so far.
Tim vigged mets.
Scum went for streaker.
Assuming tim is telling the truth of course.

Streaker had only really pushed on dazza(his only real vote was for dazza)
Perhaps scum thought the fact he was playing very low key meant he was a PR.
Does anyone want to claim being recruited?
Typically you revert to town if recuiter dies and it may help clear the picture of exactly what happened last night.
If it didnt revert the recruited person is basically just 3rd party survivor now and may as well claim that anyways.

AWOL? I was busy day 1 then it was night so I could not post. I worked today now i am here. I am a bit confused about the night, I though scum killed the SK and the SK killed the cop but Tim is saying otherwise.

I don't trust Mitch with that hammer. His reason for it was shite too. Hard to ever read mitch though he always plays a bit crazy.

exactly so vote mitch and put pressure on him to give something usefull out, once we get the usefull info then we decide if we still think he needs to die

So what was the one-shot recruiter part about? Have you ever seen anything like that? I have a lot of questions about it, but I don't want to be accused of trying to lead the discussion into a mechanics debate, so I guess I'll save them for the end.

Unvote
I'll give dazza he benefit of the doubt for now.

Mitch, aren't you at L-2? Don't you need to full claim?
