... I read that a few days ago. The main pic for that article is taken with the boar in the foreground, so as to make it look HUGE!! It is, though, really big anyway - set a new record.

... The thing that got my attention in this story (different versions of the story can be found all over the place) was the fact that the kid killed this boar on a game preserve in Alabama. That is to say, it wasn't truly, 100% a "natural and in the wilds" kind of place. The game preserve is operated by the 2 adults who chaperoned this kid during his hunt, and they backed him up with high-powered rifles, just in case the monster would've charged at the kid (as wild boars like to do).

... This preserve... and the size of that boar, makes me wonder if maybe the operators aren't planting baits out for their animals, loaded with beef hormones and the like. Seems possible.

... or, maybe, the kid just got lucky and bagged the biggest pig ever.

Hmmmm. They find a new, scientifically interesting thing such as a giant pig/wild boar crossover ..... so it gets shot by an 11 year old.

.... Here in Japan you hunt boar with a minimum of 2 guys (with rifles), and at least 4 dogs to "herd" the boar to the guns....

... I can't imagine what these dogs would've been "thinking" had that monster boar been roaming the Japanese hills! Haha.

... (biggest boar I've seen here was about 80 kg)

This is fucking gross. Why the hell can a 11 year old get to shoot and wild boar like that? Seriously, it's wrong.
