Sorry, was gone for the weekend.

In regards to what happened and why I did what I did. i did not have a wand to start the game, which seemed fairly standard. When the mod told me something happened in the night, I was merely told that I had gotten a wand, but that it did not do anything for me.

Given that we had not mass claimed yet, it did not seem to make sense to claim I had received a wand that I did not have any ability to use. I was not sure how it meshed up with someone's alignment, or if they even knew who they were giving it to. Given that it has happened a few times, I would figure mtam disarmed people and the wands went somewhere else.

Reading mtam's posts it kind of sounds like he did not know where the wand went, so i would assume someone else has probably also gotten a wand from someone else. I just don't know if they can do anything with it. I would figure if you didn't have a wand to start, you cannot use it to cast a spell if you get one mid game. Just spec though.

My case on MP was part flavour yes, but I still think it is enough to prove him a liar. Since nobody is following me there, I'll Unvote.

I'm good with lynching Mitch today.

It doesn't really seem to make sense from Tonka to withold that information, because he should probably know that he'd get caught in that lie. What benefit would it be for him, as town or mafia or cult or whatever?
The only scenario I see is that he is lying about being unable to use it. But even then he should have claimed to have a wand but no power.

strike, what did you have on Tonka previous day? And what made you change your mind?

w/e im done, im just 100% sheeping w/e direction strike wants to go and pushing that agenda. Which btw, HE DOESN"T HAVE HIS VOTE ON MITCH BECAUSE ITS CONTROLLED BY MAFIA. which for some reason virus has forgotten, and maybe others i just dont get it

If you consider the timing of strike's stolen vote a good enough reason to clear mitch, then the 'flavour' that I used to strengthen my case on MP should be allowed, too. It's WIFOM at best. Let's be honest here, that vote could mean anything.

I'm still good with lynching mitch just because he refuses to answer the damn questions. If he's mafia, right thing to do. If he's town, he is screwing us over anyway.

Anyway, I am going to wait until wolf finally posts his case on Tonka before I decide. It's gonna be one of tonka/mitch today though.

When I posted my claim I also was responded to by the mod shortly thereafter essentially telling me I had missed claimed. Again in my mind, a wand that I had no ability to use and was not told that I kept, did not seem like I had a wand when I claimed.

I thought about posting right after my claim that I did in fact have a wand, but it seemed like that would have been pretty odd to do. If the mod had not clarified to me after I made my original claim post, I would still be under the impression I did not have a wand at this point in time. i was never given any information about giving it back to anyone.

OK Im back.
since i left tonka gets caught in a lie about having a wand and mitch makes more jokes but provides us with zero info.
Other than that i just missed lots of bickering.
im thinking my vote goes tonka for lying. Town has no reason to hide things,especially if he could not use the wand anyways.
This plus a strange claim(lovegood SHOULD have a wand) and also strike thinking he is scum looks pretty solid too me.

It's possible Storr, it may explain why no one claimed to have been effected by the Cruciatus curse night 2.

I am going to fess up because 1. I am likely going to die tonight so I should lay my cards on the table while I can. 2. it should prove that Mudpuppy is indeed town. 3. it was never meant to be hidden until end game and 4. it goes a long way to further condemning GT as a liar. 5. It points to other people possibly lying/telling the truth as well. I am the one who received Mudpuppy's wand after N2. The spell on it is Episkey as Mudpuppy mentioned and is used to cure Crucio or Sectum Sempra (the reason behind this possibly being because Avada Kedavra is flavorwise an unblockable spell). I can use Mudpuppy's wand and have:

N3-Pixar. Since no one came forward as being poisoned I figured there were only two strong town possibilities that might have failed to come forward as being poisoned either due to inactivity or in Pixar's case being oblivious about what was going on in the game. That was Pixar and Mtam. Mtam, I decided to trust him on it being bad for mafia to kill him and went with Pixar.

N4: Marashu/Pixar. Since Pixar had said he was poisoned and no one else seemed like a viable target for me, I decided to visit him again just to make sure my protection would go through.

Between the fact that I can use my wand but also was given full information about it, Tonka's half knowledge of it and inability to use it seems pretty sketchy to me. I am unsure of what it means with his relationship to charm. it seems like there would be easier ways to frame a town if that's what she was but it also seems like there would be better ways to defend a scum buddy. the scum buddy one seems more likely as Tonka may have gotten caught quickly trying to rush to a more important mafia's defense and bungled it up because he didn't understand the nature of the claim Charm went with. Charm's nonsensical claim is also quite suspect.

So from the information I know simply from this:

1. Mudpuppy-confirmed town
2. Mtam-confirmed town even more than he already was confirmed town
3. Marashu-likely town
4. GT-Probable scum
5. Charm-possible scum.

So revealing this information I know will make me the most likely death from the coming night and I didn't want to considering that I was already confirmed town and was in a position (unlike GT) where withholding seemed like a legitimate option to protect myself and therefore others but I am already one of the most likely targets and it is worth it to confirm at least one townie while hopefully condemning two scum.

I will try to make another post with fuller scum and town reads later on but I won't be until later tonight if not tomorrow so if you want to go ahead and lynch I am not going to stop you. I am also asking the mod what happens to the wand when I die, etc.

@Endgame: More or less agree. Obviously I feel there is some exception to this but I don't see how withholding it the way that GT did helps town.

@Storr: Wandless seems to be a way to say that a player doesn't have an active ability (though mafia may be able to get around this) more than being VT as I was originally wandless but a mason. It was part of the reason why I was so skeptical of Skill for claiming pure vt when I knew that wandless could have passive abilities. So short answer is that yes VTs are probably wandless but watch out for those tricksters in their ranks!

@streaker: My GT case mostly came down to the way GT treated the Sempai and Skillfu lynches. Ambivialent until the lynch drew close and then switching to defending them. It struck me as intentionally defending town to gain town points and the fact that much of his Mtam case day 1 was not saying how he felt that Mtam was scummy but how his play was bad town play.

I get why I am going to get lynched, so I don't really feel all that bad about it.

I guess on my side of things, as a vanilla townie, I did not have any insight into any spells or wands or anything like that really when we got started. The only real information I had about wands or not wands was storr talking so much about being a squib and then degaston talking about spells.

Once the night action routed to me from a mafia game perspective, nothing really changed. I went into the night as a vanilla townie, and ended the night as a vanilla townie. There was a flavor bit where I got a wand, but I didn't have any info about wands really from the beginning, so I didn't know if i actually kept it or could return it if I did keep it.

I had no problem claiming vanilla town and I think strike points out that vanilla town made some sense (though his last post kind of argues back to me being scum). I didn't have any info on sempai (i defended him based on the idea I just didn't believe he really did anything wrong d1) and skillful (whose claim i immediately believed, because it matched what I saw).

Either way, I had not really looked far enough ahead to think about the fact that multiple people would be disarmed and that multiple people probably got a wand. I don't know if someone who gets a wand that has an ability to use a spell can do anything with it, but I suspect that is probably a lot more relevant to scum hunting that lynching the guy who cant do anything with the wand that was given to him.

FP. I was told I cannot use it, there was no gambit about dying involved. I just don't have the ability to use magic i guess, which is kind of weird for my characters flavor.
