The very first game night I sent no message because I didn't know what to think. I worded the messages the way I did to make them all sound like they were too late. Also the same misspellings and the players name twice. Had to make them look odd enough you guys would question them.

And why did you include Virus' name in the second message, the one to Charm? Random?
And how does honesty about a mysterious message prove Charm is town? If you are who you say you are, Mafia had no idea where these messages were coming from.

It also is odd that flavor wise despite the fact that Talapus points out they could have sent whatever they wanted as a message, they were both quite voldemorty in tone.

Certainly, if you are town you would claim the message and state it to the others. I chose this route because I was afraid the message wouldn't be passed along to everyone else or discussed and in that case it would be useless because I don't even receive confirmation the player gets the message or acknowledged it.

So had to think of a way to send a message without stating who I was(In case they would target me later) that would get passed along. Thus, make it sound like it came from the V man himself and boom, instant posting in the chat forum the next day as any pro town player would want to discuss it.

Also, just to note, flavour-wise Sirius has no connection to this spell. Legilimency was practised mainly by Snape and You Know Who in the books, source.

You mixed up D1 and D2, and D2 and D3 in your post? And why wouldn't you use your message power to communicate to Storr N1? I don't recall you changing your opinion of him thoroughly during D2.

Ya I messed it up. Remember I joined late in the game so game D2 was my first real full day...that was my bad. Honestly because I still didn't know how best to use it D1. As day too progressed and I saw storr seeming lead the mob in directions he pointed out that really sealed the deal for me that I wanted to see if he was protown or not and low and behold he claimed my message right away so good in my mind.

Completely, just like using Streaker's name.

So you randomly added a name to the posts, with the intention of getting the day going. After this went kind of south on Streaker, as he was forced to claim, why did you continue this strategy by including Virus? Indirectly, you pushed him for a claim too by including his name.

But do explain again why you think that if someone repeats the message exactly like you sent it, they are therefore town? As I said, if you are what you say you are, the mafia would have no idea who is sending the message - why would a mafia take the risk of editing the message, and then being called out on it by you? They have nothing to lose by repeating it perfectly...

Aage, you should be looking at the pershy lynch in another way. Who was on him to force the half claim. And then who was still on him, when I started the push to switch from deg to pershy. It's a pretty good indicator that those who switched did so to protect investigation.

Who dropped off pershy as the steam built up. Who didn't revoke pershy.


As we found out rage was not on a lynch. No shocker, it's very likely more mafia kept off lynches than pushed town to death.

@Storr, yes probably. Did you check those votes yet? Dazza was on it before the re-wagon on Persy but idk if that indicates anything relevant.

If you are mafia why repeat it at all? You have zero to gain except stating to town an action failed as HP lived.

In all fairness Streak claimed before a full on bandwagon had taken place and people started seriously questioning the note. Once they all questioned it I figured why not use almost the same format? Town already though it was weird and may not mean much, and as charm had gotten attention, were she really scum there is no benefit of repeating the message. So sent one her way. But she too mentioned it right away which made me think she may be town. I figured if she was scum and virus was scum too what benefit would there be for listing it for all town to see. I figured at least I might catch one of them in a lie by changing the mentioned players name but neither did. So I tend to lean more town to those two ever since.

Storr is saying, your ability is not really a threat to the mafia (especially once outed).

I agree with him that claiming the message as mafia is free town cred over nothing, especially since the messages were gibberish. The ability would have been better spent on messaging the proven town who you are. I know you said we'd be second-guessing your choices, but the fact is your choices were poor and not pro-town. We're not questioning your capacity to use a power, we're questioning what intentions you had, and pre-emptively saying "you guys probably would've used it better" doesn't excuse you from that.
