nope. all you can do is 1v1 doodle, classic, feudal.

those will usually fill within a few minutes. sometimes in the late hours of the evening i see a 5-6 player escalating game almost full. (texas time)

I rarely play speed, but whenever I've wanted to I've never had trouble finding a game.

Some people cry about lag or something...I guess people play at work, when they should be working.Others..try to win a 1,000 games in an hour..That's why I don't play speed..It was to be like playing in real life.5 minutes was good.Like I said in one or two other posts..no one takes their turn in 60 seconds...in real life play..eating,trash talking, figuring out how to smash your friend or family member, all the alliance talking.takes time..Just another reason..to join The Blue and Silver Rebellion..speed was a good reason to go Red and Gold,in Conquer Club's Golden Days of old..when there were 8 pages of speed games.....Maybe a lot of people are sick of 1,2,3..minute games like me.They should have went the other way..5,10,or 15 minute games.ConfederateSS..out!!!

Ur fkn clueless. There used to be 100s of players able to play multiple 1 minute speed games at once. 5 minute turns? Easily 6 or 7 at one time. It's not even a challenge. Some of us were lobbying for 30 second turns. If the site was lag free, 15 second turns on most maps would be plenty.

You're clueless..speed games were to be like playing real time games. So you didn't have to wait 24 hours to take your turn.. It's the clueless people in the world who try and do everything at once.Everyone is in a rush to go nowhere .The Game of Risk is the same..1 minute, 5 minutes,1 hour,or 24 hours..No one in real time takes their turn in 15 seconds..Clueless..Go ahead Clueless ,play a real life game and take your turn in 30 seconds.and everyone else take their turn in 30 seconds..and see what happens......Stop trying to win a 1,000 games an Hour and sit back and take a breath..ConfederateSS..out!!!!!!!!!!!!

Confederate, you have played a minuscule amount of speed games compared to those you're arguing about. The bearded man is referring to speed freestyle, which is a totally dead clique now but one which would have embraced thirty second speed games without a second thought.

In terms of sequential speed, there are still a few five minute players around but two or three minutes is plenty of time for most. Especially when some people don't want a speed game to take an hour, which they can with just four players. You state speed games should be like real time games where you have food, make jokes and talk about diplomacy, but those kind of things don't happen in speed games. I get your point, but it's not compatible.

Besides, if somebody would deadbeat because they have to leave it'll take 15 minutes minimum. Just try to think of a 6p esc classic game. These games end at like, what? Round 10 or something? Assuming everybody needs 5 minutes to take their turns. 10 round of taking turns equals 50 minutes PER PLAYER. Nobody wants to sit around for 5h playing one single game.

And no, I can't play a turn in 15 seconds while playing 'offline', but I also cannot auto-assault. I think the time needed to think about what I want to do in a normal FFA FR/NS game is about 20 seconds max. If it's escalating even less except for the sweep-turn.

The problem with deadbeating is players, accidentally or deliberately, will miss two turns and then come back. Therefore the person winning still has to keep an eye on the game or they risk losing via deadbeat themselves. Also, a lot of players don't want to decrease their turn percentage.

Also, in speed games extra time is awarded every time someone is killed, so for large escalating sweeps you're given the time to continue. I believe the time allotted is half the full turn time, so in a one minute game you receive an extra thirty seconds and in a five minute game you get 2.5 minutes.

Speed was already on the decline before round times were introduced.

Yeah,I know..I didn't mean eat while you play..But you get the jist..Some off us ,just wanted to play risk on the computer.Without waiting 24 hours, but not in one second either..There you go Whammy..make us feel our premium is worth something..Make that possible for premium members only...A game/not speed...that we can play, say 5 or 10 minutes of our choice ,so it feels like real life...If you think that would take to long don't play..You can see how many of us don't play speed anymore..Maybe that would draw more people to buy premium and stay at CC...ConfederateSS..out!

I get what you're saying mate, but I'm pretty sure that's not the reason for the decline of speed games.

Maybe smarter bots are the answer for quick games? I'm new to the site. I found beating bots that are programmed to let you win gets old. It does not prepare you for "live" games. Bots with better strategic progamming would make me interested in playing when 24 hr games are waiting. A 2 tier rating system could track Live and Bot ranks.
