Changes

Whats with CC change the layout and things on the site all the time. I'm not a big fan of it. I liked how things were and each change seems to make things worse. Like the global chat that pops up when you first log in. Amongst allot of other things. Just really upsetting me. I pay for a membership and its like they dont care about members who have been here and pay for it and like it the way it was. Its like they just make changes to make changes to try and get new people in. I dont know. I bring these things up but i know nothing will change.

Yeah, they make changes to try to get new people in, exactly. The site has been dying for years, they are trying a lot of thing to breathe some new life into it. I don't see why you would disagree with that.

Yeah, they make changes to try to get new people in, exactly. The site has been dying for years, they are trying a lot of thing to breathe some new life into it. I don't see why you would disagree with that.

um... possibly because for existing customers the game interface has essentially been ruined... which in turn ruins the enjoyment of the game... which in turn has helped to continue the slide down to below 9,500... i can see why people are concerned or opposed to the sort of changes we have been witnessing.-el Jesus negro

I'm an existing customer, and the game has not been ruined for me. I like the crisp, clean new interface. I like tha fact that Panels do what BOB used to do, without requiring an extra add-on. They were rocky at first, but now that most of the bugs have been worked out, they work great. You should try it some time.

Oh, and while we're on the subject, I like the fact that we finally have a Maps database, so people can check out how many terts on a map, etc.... something that lackattack promised for three years and never delivered.

You know when they tear up the road in front of your house and rebuild it? It sure is a pain in the ass driving home for a few months, but then it sure is nice driving on that nice smooth tarmac when it's finished.

Well, I'm getting tired of saying this: If they want to change something, they should get a designer to do that. Instead they fiddle with random design elements without any greater plan.
The newest nuisance is the "redesign" of the overview tab: The ratings don't belong there, the avatars are distracting and the eliminated players are no longer crossed out (I still hope that last one was unintentionally). But that's only a minor issue compared to all the fucking up that's been done to the UI already. I wonder what the CC design process is like: "Hey, I got an idea, it looks like shit AND makes things more difficult for the users, let's do it!"
And that's really a shame because they've done so many good things, but the UI is the one part people see and the game will be judged by and it's the one part they're fucking up a bit more with every update.
But as the OP already said: I bring these things up but i know nothing will change.

ty for the hard work... but if the changes don't work properly in mobile and phone you will not win new people... and maybe will lose more.
