Bollocks.

The fog rule is not "bullshit" and should be a game setting or automatic rule. It is an undeserved advantage given to the player who moves before his opponent sees the board.

The "fog rule" is bullshit and if you are a pussy and you are uncomfortable with the possibility of your opponent moving before you have a chance to take a snapshot then you shouldnāt play fog.

I disagree with DF on this one. The one who runs to immediately take their turn after joining second is the bigger pussy chicken. They are afraid that their opponent will get a look at the board. That's chicken tactics.
However, I don't cry over not being able to get a snap. I like to be able to see the board, but if the other player doesn't want to allow it, well... then I know not to wait 12 hours if I join his/her games.
It's not a rule. It's just a polite agreement among players who are mostly in clans. It's the nice thing to do.
The OP was talking about a specific scenario though. He attacked neutrals that his opponent couldn't see anyway at the start, which he still couldn't see at the end of the turn. His opponent was just being a baby.

Normally in a fog, I let my opponent take a snap if I am going to attack him.
Round starts, and by some stroke of luck, I get first turn in all 5 games.
I go ahead & take my turns, but I only attack neutrals that he can not see. I did not attack him once.
There is no 12 hour fog rule.
He gets all bent out of shape and starts berating me for being such a scum bag for not allowing him a snap.
What am I missing here, he couldn't see what I was doing before or after my turns, so what is the big deal?

nonsense... when someone joins, the game starts.. period.. if you need a snap to play? don't play fog... and no one said anything about "running to immediately take his turn". what if I see the game up, and simply take my turn? gimme a break

Of course, because common courtesy/showing respect is nonsense. Some of you make me wonder what kind of adults you are in the real world?

Your attempt at humor I hope. That's what I'm going with...
If not? By all means, draw conclusions about my character based on when I take my (within the rules) turn on a gaming site. I'm going with "lol" here.

Character is not something you turn off or on. Your character online is likely, but not definitively, the same character you carry in the normal world. Further, just because something is legal/within the rules does not mean that it does not lack common courtesy or respect.
To be clear: my suggestion of character was directly related to the predicate that showing courtesy is bullshit.

Good thing no one in this thread ever called showing courtesy bullshit, but thanks for playing.

As the fog rule is directly about showing courtesy, I will respectfully disagree with your statement. You, in fact, were the first person in this thread to call it bullshit. Carry on...
