You had to be completely clueless about football in 2006 not to know Messi... He was already a huge star, even if ronaldinho was still the franchise player. He had been playing for the first team for 2 seasons and won the champion s league that same year.

I agree that ronny was the best player in the world in 2006; just not that messi was anonymous in 2006 since he was already a big star with a market value above ronaldinho's.
