Night time, just in case people didn't noticed. Everyone with a night action has 3 days to send it to crasp, and the mafia can start talking now. Same for mason brothers and whatever roles are in the game with night activity.

Re: (GON 3rd game)The fix - Day 2

Postby crasp on Sun Mar 23, 2014 5:57 pm

Day 2 The fix.
The Bearded Boaby was a busy as it could be. After the days events the whole town seemed to have turned out each with their own version of what took place. From his vantage point beside the back exit he sneered at the stupidity of the town folk and how they hadn’t come up with the idea themselves. With one stroke the townies had got rid of the most dangerous person in town. Bantam heard everything ,saw everything, and was more than eager to pass on any knowledge for the price of a pint. Strange though, nobody believed Bantam had either the brains or the bottle to pull something like that off. Either way he had put them onto an idea that would fix this town for good.
Feeling along the coat pockets hanging behind him he soon found what he was looking for. He glanced at the coat and chuckled to himself as he lifted it off the peg. Everybody knew whose coat this was. Perfect. Slipping out the back door he put the coat on and the hood up against the driving rain then felt in the pocket for the car keys he had discovered earlier. Wait till tomorrows McDonalds consignment was found in the back of this baby. He jumped quickly into the drivers seat shutting the door. From nowhere the seat belt was pinning both his arms to his sides and a strong hand clamped a cloth over his mouth. Consciousness left him.
Back in the pub the Townies knew they were in trouble. They had panned bantams death of to the authorities as an industrial accident but his wife still had to give a statement, she had been conveniently too sedated at the time. Not sedated enough however for them to find out the huge mistake the lynching had been. It was that old Reverend that had caused it with his old fashioned ways and conspiracy theories. She could still hear him ranting at bantam when he had come to borrow the van in the dead of night. ā€œThere would be no buy one get one free fish this Friday at the house of the Anti-christ.ā€ The next thing they knew he was banging on their door throwing the keys at Bantam and telling him his van was broken down at the quarry. That was the last they had saw of him.
Nobody was really sure who saw the car first. A few saw it picking up speed, rolling down the hill towards the pub, flames belching from its opened windows. Most only heard the crash as it hit the front of the pub. Running into the street someone had grabbed a fire extinguisher and put out the flames. They eventually got the driver out of the car with a little help form a knife borrowed from the pub. His hands had been tightly taped to the steering wheel, then got the biggest shock of all. I n the dim streetlight they could clearly see the gun sitting in its holster on the charred remains of his body.
show

It had been well after dark when he had returned from his gym in the city. It had been a long shift and he was tired. Hardly had he got out the car than old Nellie next door was on him telling the story of Bantam. At first he was shocked and then his blood started to boil. Both he and Bantam had turned their backs on the demon drink, both being pronounced chronic alcoholics some years before. They had been good friends ever since supporting each other through the hard times, although lately Bantam had turned more to the big man up high and that nut of a minister.
He could hear the commotion and by craning has neck he could just make out the crowd around the car outside the pub. As he watched he saw someone being dragged from the car and heard the howls of the mob. Enough was enough, there would be no more lynching. Running up his hall he hauled open the door and , saw the flash and heard the two pops. That was where they found him next day, slouched on his door step, a neat hole in his chest and another through his forehead.

First I want to say sorry bantam. We had good reasons to think you were a bad guy, too bad it turned out to be wrong.
Second, I have no idea who killed the mafia there, but thanks! :P

I will have to get into the happenings of last night more tomorrow when I've had sleep. Anyone have any night reports?

Oh, and I believe if you search back, I defended Bantam AND archer, saying that whichever of you were finding them scummy, they were bad reasons. Just keep that in the back of your minds.

I have to do some research, but I may have something to report...will be back in 12 hours.

A quick up date on the pm'ing during day time issue. This is a mod kill offence at moderators discretion. Some will issue a warning, some will kill instantly. In this case both The Crown and Sirius admitted the offence. After consulting Epitaph it was decided that rather than trying to influence the game ,they were actually trying to move the game on.I will not take any action this time as this would set a precedent, mainly if I issued a warning then everybody else would be entitled to a warning.
From this point on anybody else caught doing this will be mod killed. If you want to contact someone then send the pm to me and i will forward it if i decide it will not interfere with game play. This does not include legitimate night actions.
Matter closed.

Once again, kudos to whoever picked off H8. I am not surprised per se, but didn't have him at the top of my list. I feel like Bantam dug his own grave, waiting till the tail end to make himself clear. I think Charm is worth revisting now. TC had some good points and she voted Bantam even after his reveal.

Ok, about the night happenings:

Bodyguard, Archer - He was either targeted outright, or he died protecting someone. That someone WASN"T H8 AFK, because if it was him, H8 wouldn't have died, it would have only been archer. That means we have 2 factions killing at night. Would love to know who Archer was protecting... got a feeling it may have been me.

Possibilites:
mafia and a vigilante
2 mafias
mafia and a serial killer
mafia and some other weird type of night killer (cannibal)

If we have a town vigilante, I hope they stop killing at night unless they are better sure of themselves.

If we started the game with:
10 townies, 1 third party and 4 mafia
10 townies and 5 mafia
11 town and 4 mafai

then we are down to:
8 townies 4 mafia
9 town 3 mafia

What does NOT make sense is that why would the mafia outright go after Archer when Archer was a top suspect (for some people) for being lynched on Day 2. I have to assume he WAS killed protecting someone.

Now I will go back and see voting and suspicion patters to see if I can pick up on anything. I will need some time.

In the meantime, anyone who has some hints at who is scum, go ahead and tell us, or just start voting.

Wow alot happened overnight, so much death in such a short span of time...

Possibilites:
mafia and a vigilante
2 mafias
mafia and a serial killer
mafia and some other weird type of night killer (cannibal)

If we have a town vigilante, I hope they stop killing at night unless they are better sure of themselves.

10 townies and 5 mafia
11 town and 4 mafai

then we are down to:
8 townies 4 mafia
9 town 3 mafia

So who is left? Does anyone have any suspects at all? I agree that Charm is the only one whom acted suspiciously yesterday(that isn't dead), she got quiet after her name starting getting called out also... So she would be the only one on my radar.

So we kill a Townie w/ power role, Archer dies protecting someone and H8 is killed by someone else.

I'm willing to bet we have a Townie Vigilante not sure who that would be.

As for the rest of the scum, here's the list of people who voted on Bantam, my thinking is that most if not all the remaining scum are on this list:

Mookie x2: first time was on BW to get Bantam to talk, second time was to ensure that he (mookie) didn't get lynched, self-preservation - Undecided

H8 AFK: Confirmed Mafia - reason for voting - that Bantam is a type of Chicken.

Legionnare x2: first time to start BW to get Bantam to contribute more (at time of vote he had made 1 post other than to confirm), second time was a vote to move towards a lynch as I was convinced he was scum. My mind was changed at the end of the final day that he wasn't and I unvoted a few minutes before the cutoff.

Killuminati x3: first time to get Bantam to talk, second time voted because of further inactivity and unconvinced by Bantam's explanation, third time no explanation given. - repeated voting - suspicious

SiriusCowKing x2: first time was on BW to get Bantam to talk, second was after he was unconvinced by Bantam's explanation of why he was silent, unvoted when eventually convinced of Bantam's role - not suspicious

Charm: voted early, no explanation given - very suspicious

KingEdward3: voted early on BW to get Bantam to talk - undecided

Gabsensai - voted to get Bantam to contribute, unvoted then defended Bantam until the end - not suspicious

DB4Christ - unconvinced at Bantam's explanation later unvoted - undecided

Votes that hung Bantam:
Charm
H8
Mookie

Voted for H8 (so by association not scum):
The Crown
SiriusCowKing
Legionnare
Gabsensai
Juaplay4fun (sorry)

Voted for by H8 (also by association not scum)
Joak
Bantam

So in summary:

archer3base - Dead - Townie Bodyguard

Bantam - Dead - Townie Watcher

charm - highly suspicious behavior and now top of my list - Mafia

DB4Christ - voted Bantam (later unvoted) and defended H8 when pressure was on for him to claim - Undecided

Gabsensei - voted Bantam later unvoted and defended Bantam to the end - Townie

jusplay4fun - suspected at first but voted for H8 so don't believe he is scum now - Townie

Killuminati19 - voted Bantam multiple times, third occasion no explanation given - Undecided

King Edward 3rd - voted Bantam (later unvoted) not much else to go on - Undecided

legionnaire - I know I am a Regular Townie as I have claimed

mookiemcgee - voted Bantam to save himself - Undecided

SiriusCowKing - voted Bantam later unvoted and defended him - Townie

TheCrown - defended Bantam - Townie

TuffyLess - not enough intel - Undecided

Joak - voted for by H8 - Townie

H8 AFK - Dead - Mafia

I was wrong in my assumptions of Archer, Bantam and H8 AFK it seems but I am going to vote charm as she tops my list now.

@ legion

I see you didn't bother to mention that I unvoted Bantam. Because of this, he would not have been lynched had it not been for mookie's hammer vote. My third time voting for bantam is because H8 finally chimed in and Bantam was at the top of my list at the time. Nice work with the informative post though. I will stick to my quote below:

Well done guys for lynching me. You should have sussed me a bit earlier though, I deliberately misquoted my earlier message;

The Only Thing Necessary for the Triumph of Evil is that Good Men Do Nothing.

I said it was by Robert Burke when in fact it was Edmund Burke.

A small clue that I really shouldn't have given but never the less it was there, it was me testing your investigative skills ;-)

Good luck everyone.
