I will vote Bantam I would like to hear what he has to say. But I don't need a claim. I don't want to know what half the people are on day 1.

Fast posting editing and deleting are all part of the same thing and the reason its banned.Similar to fast posting, deleting can totally change the context of a thread and make it look like somebody is answering a different post. Same with editing. I have a friend who is an expert at this and has been banned from so many forums.
He will make a harmless post on a fishing forum saying something like "are there any serious anglers left on here?". He then waits till 5 or 6 people, or usually whoever his target is answers. He then edits the question to something like " are there any gay anglers on here?". He then quotes all the answers so they cant delete or edit them. It causes absolute havoc. A lot of forums you cant delete once somebody has posted after you for this reason.

unvote (which you really didn't count my previous votes, so this shouldn't be required, but best to keep things on the up and up)

Fast posting is not editing a post. When you write your post and take a long time before pressing the submit button, someone can post before you finish writing. This post will appear at the top of the screen and your text edit box will still be there once you have pressed the submit button. The post does not appear in the forum at this point. The post will only appear once you press the submit button again.

Writing fast posted only shows that you didn't saw that post before you started writing yours. What you are talking about is actually editing, it is not possible to post something and still be writing it through a fast posting process.

A lot to digest, so here I go:

TheCrown wrote:@legion, so you claimed without anyone asking you to? That is very scummy to me...little bit of brown-nosing... and deception!

unvote, Vote Legion

I claimed without anyone asking to set an example to the other noobs as to what was required of them when asked for a claim.

H8 AFK Thu March 13 2014 10.59am (sorry I don't know how to add multiple quotes to the same post)
I've been away in the hills around the town fixing the electric pylons, to keep the power flowing. I get my money from the town, it pays for my living! Townie to the core!

I now think that H8 was surreptitiously claiming a Towie power role, but unsure what. Meaning he made need protection in the night.

SiriusCowKing Fri March 14 2014 2.18pm
Actually, Bantam did post a single post on page 5, but he didn't replied since we started voting for him. Still, I do count that as being a bit silent.

One post during the banter phase, silent since, I take it there isn't a role that would require him to limit his posts? He is now at L-2 (6 votes) needs prodded.

Ok...I UNVOTE.

NOT sure whom I should vote for now...no more bandwagons?? :-)

Interested in jumping on a bandwagon are you? But not when everyone starts voting for Bantam? Very suspicious. IGMEOY

IF H8 didn't fully claim what he is, then he has lied. All liars are lynched in mafia (my credo) :D

Someone's role is precious to himself (or charmself), and to give it up so freely so early seems scummy.

I still have doubts about AFK myself, but I think you are reading too much into this. This might just be his way of doing some role play. Still, it is suspicious that he would choose a night job as a role play when only power roles can act at night. My bet is that we will find out more on that after night 1.

legionnare wrote:Want to hear from Bantam but don't vote, mmmm. I'm starting to see a pattern IGMEOY too

The reason why DB4 didn't vote yet is because he doesn't want to lynch someone without giving him a chance to talk. I don't see any reason why he would be suspect from not voting this time. By the way, this is classic DB4 behavior. He was never the kind to rush to a vote.

I've just spent 10 minutes pondering why everyone wants to hear from me when I'd already posted.
I don't feel a particular need to make any other comment at this stage - I was taking stock of the situation and waiting to see what happens.
I do find it interesting that a number of people want to jump on my back and drive me to the ground.

No problem DB,
I considered leaving this reply until tomorrow on the basis of:
We've been watching and Bantam doesn't talk for 2 days and now its twice in a day that must be scummy.. :-$ :-$

To be honest if anyone does - then that's their choice.
There isn't much to be said at the moment - but am concerned that we have 2 people claiming roles on Day 1.
I've no particular preference at this time - and am in no position to make a vote just to get myself off the hook - evidence is flimsy at best.
By the logic applied to me - you could argue that mookie is next on the list on the basis of 2 posts and I've made three - I certainly won't.
The reverse logic could also be applied - those with the most to lose have the most to say ???

It's not about the number of posts, it's about what you bring in to the conversation. I do think that this particular post makes you less suspicious, but your logic is flawed in another way. We need to lynch someone on day 1. The noobs might wonder why the townies would take a blind shot and probably lynch one of them. Well, it gives something to base observations on. And if you don't, then only the mafia get a kill, so eventually they auto win. Just like AFK said, the mafia only needs the inaction of the townies to win. Also, you said that evidence is flimsy at best, well of course it is. This is mafia, nothing is ever certain, you have to go with your gut feeling.

For now, I will unvote and go through the pages again to find something that I might have missed.

Hey guys... I'm just reading everything and don't really have anything to add. The 1st day is a shot in the dark... if we have nothing to go on shouldn't we just wait until day 2 to lynch someone so we have some night actions to go off of? Lynching someone at random doesn't seem smart as numbers wise it's probable that we'll lynch a townie. I guess voting does reveal something but in the other town it didn't reveal much on the first day. Just my 2 cents... In other news, old MacDonald was a bad speller.

Now of course I had to look up the real definition of blather (talk long-windedly without making very much sense). Hmmm???

Are you trying to say I babble a lot or trying to be protective like a big brother, so no one would think negatively?
If I enter dressed in a nun outfit, no one should think either. By the way, I play a mean game of craps, regardless of my attire - is there a back room to the back door?

only gonna say this much not lynching on day one might be saving a townie but alsi give a free kill to the mafia it would not benefit us to do so and by lynching someone we make others react and its where we can see who flinch under pressure and make mistake. Gab - I just don't see the logic in lynching on day 1 when the odds of lynching scum are low... Why not wait until we get some info from the night actions? We only started to get somewhere last time when the night actions started panning out...just sayin

by doing that you give free kill to mafia and you lose a chance to maybe lynch a scum and on top you lose at least a chance to see reaction and maybe reaction that will lead you to find a scum later

Last game, the reason why we didn't get anywhere at start was because everyone was waiting on the night actions to come in. As the mod I know what the night actions were, and you can read them now in the archives of the last game. They were pointless. Every night actions on night 1 and 2 led to a dead end. The townies started understanding what's going on after night 3, when they based the deductions on the posts and votes of everyone, and they won. It's useless now to lynch on day 1 but it gives an edge later.
