Anyone else (please dont respond Andy, notyou2 & BBS) experience the same detrimental derailing effect that has declined topics outside of CC?

All forum regulation is related to Conquer Club.
And my short tenure doesn't handicap a valid point, nor does ones length of tenure make a point more or less valid regarding this thread of the here and now of derailers detracting from a forum in CC. This thread is not about 2008, but the present condition.

But for long OT has been a place of fun, with a few threads of serious discussion. I don't think we are wrong. Maybe because I'm part of the problem that I say that.
OT's action is cyclic, and increases in fun when saxi starts fun threads.
This is my point of view, I think it will differ a lot from those who enjoy politics.

I love politics and I hold the same point of view as you do. The beauty of our forum is that I'm not required to read a person's posts (I guess some people aren't physically able to do that).
Also, can this thread be an official "OT IS COMING TO INVADE GD!" thread?
universalchiro wrote:@ thegreekdog,
Twice you have mentioned that this is off topic, so twice I quote the definition of General Discussion:" Talk about all things related to Conquer Club". This thread is about a forum within CC.
Respectfully, Please don't say the same request three times. Your point was made on first mention.
Twice you mentioned Phatscotty as the reason of this thread. I don't recall ever teamming up with him in a game, we are not in same clan, yes we may have a similar view every now and then, but that doesn't mean we are associating his "Suggestions" thread with this one. I have felt this way before his thread was posted. Respectfully please don't say the same thing a third time. Your point was made atfrst mention.

I enjoy coherent dialogue where I can potentially learn other ideas from people around the world. The ability to communicate with another culture or even one with similar views and background is edifying.

I would.
I understand your view, we disagree on whether I'm avoiding rebuttals, but still there is no need to implement Argumentum Ad Hominem. Please keep discussion above personal attacks, thanks.BigBallinStalin wrote:universalchiro wrote:Serbia wrote:... why do you care?

You may have such intentions, but you do not follow through. Great examples abound in the religious threads where people pressure you to justify your position, and you inevitably regress into... dodge tactics... People don't like that... To discourage such behavior, your topics become sabotaged and derailed. It's a natural mechanism for meting out OT justice.
In short, your? being... a prick.

You may have such intentions, but you do not follow through. Great examples abound in the religious threads where people pressure you to justify your position, and you inevitably regress into Phatscotty dodge tactics--especially by repeating yourself while ignoring sensible counter-points. People don't like that because PS tactics are disrespectful. To discourage such behavior, your topics become sabotaged and derailed. It's a natural mechanism for meting out OT justice.
In short, you're butthurt about being punished by the community for being a prick.
However, thank you for validating my point that there are a handful of saboteurs and derailers that purposefully sabotage and derail a topic within a forum of CC.

@TheGreekDog: your point is understood and suggestions on page one are reasonable.
Has anyone else noticed saboteurs and derailers in CC's "Whoes forum is it anyway?"?
thegreekdog wrote:I don't know your definition of "saboteur" but, by my definition, such folks are easily ignored, but, generally should be addressed given that they often have valid points... saboteurs and derailers would not, by themselves, evidence a decline in OT.
