Game 13796482

The above game was an epic battle that was well played by both sides. Both players had the advantage at one point or the other. Both players were given a chance to compete in the game. I got lucky in the end, and had the more favorable dice at the climax.

But, the point is that most games on this site do not play out like this. Most games are total dice slaughters in one direction or the other in which the competitive part of the game is over in 2 or 3 rounds.

I played other games on this settings/map where I outplayed the opponent; however the drop and the dice gave me zero chance to win the game.
Here, it was a one out of 100 games where both sides played well, and the dice didn't devastate one side during the early stages of the game. And its been a long time since i won a game like that; probably before the dice system went down the toilet.

It was a true heavyweight battle.

not really, you missed the point

both sides went back and forth in the game. Both sides had good dice and bad dice at different points in the game. aND the dice stayed reasonable throughout the game. of course at some point in a key spot the dice will swing one way or the other.

However, the game was competitive and smartly played.

Most games are not competitive because of the dice.

You don't understand rhp at all, gannable. Our beautifully bearded friend does not care about worshipping CC, nor for the people who whine and cry on a daily basis. You see, rhp is quite the phenomenon. We all know the dice are streaky so take advantage of it. The dice are not random but they are the same for the vast majority of players.

One thing you need to understand about rhp is his eagle eyed nature. He seeks his prey like a cat stalking string. He sees them and waits for the opportune moment to pounce, and when he does pounce you best be ready for Pompeii all over again by golly! Of course, there are ways around this. The most successful of these in engaging in a bromance with the stud that is rhp. He is extremely partial to a good ol' bromance and wears different caps for each bromance date he attends. Give it a try, he isn't as rough as he looks on the outside.

I know what you mean...those games that really stay even into the mid. game are a joy, those games that stay even into the end game are really very rare indeed.

However, I think one's view on this does depend on what you are a playing for. If you are determined to climb the scoreboard then quick wins are a great thing, it is the same if you are playing in a clan war. In these circumstances you just want to crush the opposition as quickly as possible and get the win.

I can't say that I start a game hoping for it to be close. My aim is to end it as quickly as possible. Does this mean I don't 'play for fun'? Absolutely not, I used to be confused about this and thought that 'playing for fun meant not caring about winning. Such a ridiculous attitude (at least for me) actually ruined my enjoyment of the site. It was only when I had the realisation that it is the winning itself that I enjoy so much that I began to enjoy CC again.

My happiest moments on CC are when I have got a game to the point that the oppostion is thoroughly broken. I look at the map often at these times luxuriating in the fact that here is a win that has yet to happen. The position always to me looks at its most perfect when a game has just been taken out of the opposition's realistic reach.

first... amusing you think I missed your point.. I did not...
i understand your game was "competitive and well played", but you, in your own post mind you, made mention of the fact that the game was ultimately decided by dice... my point is, the game was ultimately decided by the dice that you habitually complain about (which is fine btw, I don't really care) so your original post is, at a minimum, objectively contradictory...

as for the "you love trashing people's posts who don't worship everything about CC"? LOL... I would doubt you could be any more distant from the true nature of things (if I understand what you're saying to begin with) as far as that goes... I'm not even sure wtf that quote means tbh....

ah isnt that cute.

you two are really fond of one another.

And you two are must be the wittiest pair to ever bully a message board.
I'm glad it keeps you busy.

oh by the way Boy, your avatar is fitting - the person who posts behaves like a troll, and the picture certainly looks like a chunky, little troll.

and honestly.. my original post was accurate and objectively true.. but you started with the name calling and sensitivity about spoiling your thread and turned it into something else, instead of simply acknowledging I was correct with what I said...

sorry Boy

I believe you were incorrect

But if you want to believe otherwise I personally do not care.

It's not at the top of my list of concerns

I didnt care for the snarky attitude in response. IOnce a person displays such an attitude I know they're garbage and not worthy of attempting a reasonable discussion.

basically, i believe the dice system here is complete crap

you disagree and don't see a problem with the system.

ok whatever, we have different viewpoints. I don't measure my life by this message board so I don't need to go on a crusade to prove "I'm right" like you apparently need to do.

If we disagree, fine. It's not a big deal. I don't need you to believe the dice system sucks

However, just because we have a different perspective doesn't give you license to act like a condescending and patronizing asshole in an effort to impress your message board buddies. If that's how its going to be then I do believe you are garbage and not worthy of respect.

Then your level knowledge is pitifully deficient... and ur concerns? Good god, cant think of anything thats any less relevant to me at the moment.... and someone that points out something so blatantly contradictory and gives you reasonable reasons why, is "garbage"? Ok... doesnt matter what I believe or you believe... if youre going to post something, by all means, have at it... but if someone doesn't cheer your position and gives you a different point of view (an accurate one btw) feel free to not take it so personally and get sensitive about it... I bet we can find someone in here to give you some e-hugs... im sure you'll feel better after..

I don't have "message board buddies" though I like Caf, he's a cool kid.. and (shockingly) you're incorrect... I actually do agree with you that the dice system is complete crap... I never said anything to the contrary... matter of fact, I've posted here and there agreeing with that very assertion.... what I commented on, was that you used a game, competitive and well played I think you said, to illustrate the rare instance of a skilled game with dice not being the deciding factor.. then at the end of your comment, you said (more or less) that dice decided the game.. I simply said, that dice, after all, did decide the game.. the fact that it happened later rather than sooner, while making that game more enjoyable to you, contradicted your premise.. that's all.. if you enjoyed the game, great.. but dice still decided the game...
and I'm on no "crusade".. I don't care at all.. though I do enjoy the banter.. and I don't have to prove that I'm right.. in this case, I simply am... and I don't mind if you don't think so.. it's self-evident in your own post.... I hope the dice do become random someday... that said? there will still be many many instances (I'd argue most games) where dice (even random ones) will have a huge impact on the game... kind of the nature of dice games....

and not that you're not a busy person and have the time, but if you read my first post, it's incredibly mild... I simply pointed out the contradiction in your post... I didn't say you're an asshole, or you're garbage, or you should go kill yourself (all viable things for me to say on any given day), just that your post didn't really make any sense... not to say I'm unclear about what you were driving at... that you wish the dice were less of a factor, and skill more a factor... I gotchya.. but dude.. it's a game based on dice... skill is always going to be piece of the pie, not the whole pie, and the same can be said for the dice..
