Mate Transformer toys, cartoons and comics were my childhood (until all my toys got stolen in the boo of my mums old metro)...

The manga cartoon movie is absolutely dope but the new live action one looks 100 times better! Can't wait.

I had to explain it to the missus as her watching the little mermaid on pills...

i don't mean to rain on your parade, guiscard, cause it looks awesome

but i'm just wondering: you'd really rather see a live action movie than a new cartoon movie w/ the best animation money could buy? i'd lean towards that one....

i will also say that its a shame its done by Michael Bay, who is the king of shitty remakes and adoptions. I'm afraid there wont be much more beyond the cool special effects.

I'm not sure, really... But yeh maybe. There's just something slightly cooler about seeing them wreck real life buses and buildings and suchlike. They wrecked enough of my goddamn bedroom when I was a kid

Also, if i may be a complete tit, transformers the movie is going to be about a) product placement, and b) selling toys. Why not get yourself down to your local art house cinema and catch the latest Truffaut revival? Or what about the toe-curlingly good things happening in Vietnamese new-wave cinema verite at the moment?

because, Cola, I didn't spend hours on end playing with a fucking chopstick or toys made by an artsy fartsy french director as a kid...

I want to see the toys I played with as a child blowing shit up and battering each other for a couple hours. OK? Its a simple demand.

I don't want an intriguing plot filled with post-9-11 political satire...

I just wanna sit there and think 'Cooool!!! He was a car... AND NOW HE'S A FUCKING MASSIVE ROBOT! WITH HUGE GUNS!'
