Well there needs to be a place for spammers and this forum had the social lounge. Think how bad it would be if Hecter decided to go to general discussion to spam. Everyone would him.

They would have gotten worse. As far as I know the only thing that could stop them is the mods hunting them down day and night. There is no way to prema ban them from making accounts right?

Sheep, you haven't really been here long enough to know what the forums were like before this destructive spam frenzy started.. they were a LOT better :-)

Spam isn't a fact of life, we have really good mods here who dealt with occasional issues.

Spamalot was destroying the forums here, they infected every thread. The only way to stamp it out and let the forums recover is to beat the hell out of the morons till they get the message that mindless spamming is not welcome.
