i didn't vote against you because i still think Fir shoulda been claiming at L2, i agree with IB that we should definitely get a claim since it's such a small game and Fir arguing against himself claiming smells to high heaven to me..

I could just be being silly, here, but wouldn't you not want to claim until L-1 in such a small game? My memory could just be wrong...very wrong. It's happened before, but trying to push for a claim when at L-2 just seems off to me.

I understand your point of view.

If we mislynch today would you say the same for tomorrow? For as long as I can remember we have always claimed at L2. It is a habit created created for certain circumstance but which we follow anyways. It is highly doubtful there is a double voter but like I said its better to satay in the habit.

As said in the post where I brought the point up: it very well could just be my memory. As for the claim, there's not really anything one way or another on it. It is the easiest claim for scum to make...

I was going to address this in one of my earlier posts, but I didn't want to fight on too many fields, per say, and it seems now is the perfect chance to discuss it.

You seem to be pushing for a lot of claims- Fircoal, KGB, and just about anyone really. I know, I pushed for KGB's claim as well, but I would have been able to work with more in my head if he was a/the doc or cop. Just my townie thought process towards winning the game. Him being VT really doesn't change anything. But trying to make multiple people claim like that..

While I have completely different reasons from IB -quite honestly, I don't really see much behind his reasons. I feel like nark is being a bit scummy, here. I'm getting this feeling from two posts:

The first, alone, isn't too bad. I can understand the sentiment of wanting to get the ball rolling, but it's the phrasing that stands out to me. Once you add in the second one, it just sounds like nark is fishing for power rolls. He drops off of the case far too quickly. I'll admit, I have been slow to cast my vote, in this game, but that's because it's so small and takes so few votes to lynch, I feel that I should be cautious with it, accordingly.

Now, on to the bit of back and forth betwixt IB and nark: [they're both on this page, or this shall be the first post of the next page, so I'm not going to bother quoting.] To me, this just sounds like scum trying to distance themselves from each other, on day one. I could be wrong with that, but, either way, my first point stands.

Claims are good when we are about to lynch someone to test to see if their role matches up or is important. Someone who has been started early in Day 1 and doesn't have that much against them is not usually someone you want to claim. In fact at that point it is better for the mafia to get a claim than the town.

Here I state clearly that I don't think it's very smart for a town member to claim in that type of situation. So why would I claim if I was personally against it? Does that make any sense really?

Personally I'm getting much more suspicious of those who are promoting claims and all that stuff. Espeically when we have things like this:

What IB states here is correct. If someone claims a powerrole then everyone knows the powerrole and then the mafia know more things that they didn't need to know. ESpeically if it's the doctor. Then they can just kill the doctor and suddenly the town is in trouble. However if someone claims a townie then the mafia know to not kill that person. Really with this little information it does us little good to be claiming like candy.

Let me clear something up in regards to claims. I have not been advocating for multiple claims as some may imply. While claiming can be helpful it is also a double edged sword, which I made clear earlier.

Nark, that has nothing to do with it. I could claim Mafia Goon and it would look realistic. I'm sure that in the Mafia's PM the town coloring is used somewhere. Easy enough to quote, get the color code, and match it up. I've also never seen a role not in bold, so what's your point here? Very easy to replicate as a mafia member.

A v townie would be a loss, but we can't turn our heads away just because someone says they are v townie. We will have six or seven people (hopefully six for two town power roles) do that in this game and try to get away with it.

well unvote after rereading, im still not convinced that james isn't scum but his play style seems consistent so i partially wiling to believe that hes just making decisions to quickly, so i'll but him on the back burner for later review, i havent' gotten many scum vibes from kgb so i believe that he is town, right now IB and anark are the two that are sticking out to me, i'm willing to bet that at least one of these two is mafia
