Battle Royales and that map...

Now that we have the Battle Royale medal, I'd like to join a few more Battle Royale games. However, I don't enjoy playing on the Colosseum map. Could we get some Battle Royale games on other maps?

Also:

Awarded to members that win Battle Royale games. Bronze=1 Win, Silver=3 Wins, Gold=8 Wins, Platinum=20 Wins.

Is 20 too high of a number? Especially considering I can only join one Battle Royale every 30 days with the current system.

I agree that we should have some BR's on different maps, but only on a select few in order to keep the birthday bash BR's special.

You can only join every 30 days plus there are a ton of them every anniversary.
And there is at least one new BR map in development now (spaced themed but don't know the name....home world? )

It's platinum.. It's supposed to be an obsessively high number. The only person who has it now is KingofGods, and I will most likely be the second, NoS or Gilligan will be third. No, 20 is not too high a number. It just happens to be that you have to play the anniversary, and win a lot of them. I'm planning on beating the record this year (11 or 12, I believe). Get good at large player FS speed games, and make sure you have a wicked fast connection.

Isn't there another BR map currently being developed? i don't have much to do with the cartographers, but I am sure I saw one not so long ago.

I think 20 is a good number. It'll increase the player activity at the new year, which will be great. I definitely would not put it lower than 15, though.

Gabriel, Great-Ollie has 17, only needs 3 more so he will probably be second come the new year, with you being third if you get 8 (not too easy). I'm pretty sure I won't be winning 12 of them at that time, and NoS probably won't either.

And yes, TeeGee, dolomite13 is creating Homeworlds in the foundry.

If you want more Battle Royale maps, please come into the foundry and ask for them! In addition, if you have ideas, you can also post them into this forum: viewforum.php?f=63 (you don't need to be a mapmaker to post there your ideas), maybe a mapmaker will like it so much tol decide to make a map, or better team up with you!

Yeah, sorry. My post wasn't a criticism of the foundry in any way.

Clarification: when I wrote "Could we get some Battle Royale games on other maps?", I largely meant on other existing maps - eg. Battle Royale games on Classic once a month.

Though, of course, I'm totally in support of the Foundry producing new Battle Royale maps...as nobodies wrote, go get some ideas out there!
