That is a matter of opinion. Drab, Neon and Violet. Funnily enough the color code for Violet looks pink,

Also I noted in conversation tall letters like d might not fit in the number boxes.

You confused,
when I wrote:the new green
with lime.

I was never talking about lime until you did that.

Oh, now I understand. When I heard new green, I was thinking of the bright new one, not the amended one.

Remember that N is neutral and can't be used for Neon.

Ok so out of my 26 colors with unique letters we can't use ivory because it's neutral's color.

We can't use letter n because it's neutral and t,p,q,d,f,g,h,j,k,l,or b are no good because they are too tall correct?

t, q, d, f, h, and k could all be used.

p, g, and b are already used.

j, i, and l, could look too much like a 1 and were ruled out.

For reference, here's a list.

a - not used, could be used
b - blue
c - cyan
d - not used, could be used
e - lime
f - not used, could be used
g - green
h - not used, could be used
i - too close to 1
j - not as bad as i, but still relatively close to 1
k - not used, could be used
l - too close to 1
m - too wide, trying to get our current m changed to a
n - neutral
o - orange
p - pink
q - not used, could be used
r - red
s - silver/slate
t - not used, could be used
u - purple
v - olive
w - could also be too wide, like m
x - not used, could be used
y - yellow
z - not used, could be used

Long story short, available letters: a, d, f, h, q, t, x, z

What was the opinion regarding my acceptable lettered colors? Only maroon was chosen even though it's too wide.

The drab, neon, violet? What about the fourth?

For the record, here are the color codes:

Purple 9400d3 (u)
Lime 00ff00 (e)
Maroon cd5c5c (m)
Olive 688e23 (v)

I don't think that the colors will change unless there's a HUGE calling for it, but color codes/names might be able to be changed.

So what is your personal opinion on v for purple and d for olive Gilligan?

Hmmm...hear me out on this one.

To a colorblind person, the colorblind code for Alexlau and goneb4sunrise23 could both look like v because of the underline of the username. Maybe it'd be better to *not* use v for visual sake?

I just noticed you used my 12 colors then just changed the names and used random letters from three of them for codes.

The purple and lime were dead giveaways when we started the project, because of how unique they are. Hence why they are players 9 and 10.

drab
olive

maroon

Your colors from your link are on top, current is on bottom. While names names may be similar, the colors are different.

Yeah, messing with the colors may be needed for composition issues like the new green.

On this back ground the colors I used for my 26 are all different to those with color vision.

Because that was the date I came up with the 12. I came up with the full 26 later because everyone else continued to write, it would be too dificult to come up with more than 8.

Well, whatever the case, colors on a grey background is much different than looking at them on a map.

We tried a drab the same shade as yours, and it was an issue for colorblind people with orange.

Your #800000 for maroon was an issue with something else...I can't quite remember now, because I don't have access to the forum we used to discuss it.

Your maroon is fine. So is your drab, violet and third one needing a name.

Did you see my post above with my concern about using v as a letter?

Yes, but what happens when you try to relay that letter to the player list on the side to see who it is?

You quit the game because yellow is so close to violet even people with exceptional color vision get them confused?

Just out of curiosity, why does it have to be the first letter of the color? It's more important to find 12 different colors, not that the color codes are perfect. Trust me, we tried maaaaany options. This was the best set of colors, and the color codes are all unique. That's most important.

2dimes, I'm talking about colorblind people trying to relay yellow to olive or purple. While it would be good to have the first letter of each color, I think that helping people play the game comes before that.

What if we did this, keeping the same colors:

Red
Green
Blue
Yellow
Pink
Cyan
Orange
Silver
pUrple
limE
Amber
Drab (instead of oliVe)
