I beg to differ - Ukraine were robbed of victory.

I tell you: even UK's ad for British Airways was better.

Good sir, the UKs entry was pure pap. A group of butlins red coats can sing and perform better than Scooch and a retarded monkey with a typewriter would be able to produce better lyrics at one sitting, even after a full-frontal lobotomy. I for one was ashamed to see us enter such a piece of dull tripe without any redeeming qualities whatsoever. Scooch were clearly not selected for their musical talent so why were they there? There was no comedy value, no satire, no farce. There was no deep message attached to the performance or anything of any quality. No, Scooch were nothing but an embarrassment to us, worse than Gemini. Even if the intention was to take the piss out of Eurovision Scooch failed miserably unlike...

Andriy Danylko's comedy act for the Ukraine - which was clearly a masterpiece of rhythm, sound and dance. Reminiscent of many of the past masters of the Genre. What is more Danylko managed to get his act into Eurovision despite coming from a county that regards the Eurovision as 'a prestigious event' (Source: Ukraine today). Far be it for me to delve into the deeper meaning inherent in the tin-foil hat but let me just say this... Ukraine not weak!

Ukraine's act was vulgar and I couldn't believe it was a favourite to win this. UK was absolutely crap and I agree but even that didn't make me want to throw up, like Ukraine did.

You have to appreciate the delicious irony of the whole thing. Danylko representing the Ukraine is akin to Borat representing Kazhakistan.

But it didn't deserve to come second. The whole voting system is rigged for the eastern block anyway.

Indeed it didn't deserve to come second, that was my point. It deserved to come first

There was no way it would come first.

Sadly, I would have liked to see them win, though. As I said in the other thread: "anything that crazy deserves a prize"
