Ok, you win, you have some good games. Of course, if you are a SM playe (especially those who just spam Termies and Dreadnoughts) you will be taken out back and shot.

Eldar and sometimes IG FTW!

I play mostly with SM and Eldar, and Tau. i suck at Orcs, they just suck. IG I'm not all that good with. Necrons are alright. Chaos, meh. I like the original one the best.

Excelent, I was just about to edit my post to include pre-patch Necrons to the death list (0% skill whatsoever)
Generally, I like Eldar and IG better than the rest, even though they have every different playing styles. Orks are actually pretty good post-patch (never touched them before, smashed Insane AI). Of course Necrons are still the best, Tau are now balanced (no more one-shot-kill on my army for you!), and no-one really likes Chaos.

I do think that Eldar are by far the best race, especially with the evil Harlequin!

I don't even use the Harlequin. I more prefer my great Warp Spiders, my Seers, my Dark Extract (I totally forget what they're called) and the Fire dudes. I like my walking machine too.
The Eldar are kinda weak, but what makes up for it is the invisibility. And the Warp Gates. And Teleportation.

Necrons are so slow and weak and are normally the first to die. What makes up for that is that they can reborn again, and how they can teleport back to their buildings.

SM are one of my favourite races. the Dreadnoughts and the tanks are great. The infantry are good, meaning the Space Marine squads. And the Grey Knights.

But the SM are so boring. I mean, its just Tact Squad... Tact Squad... FC... Kill, Kill, Kill, troops die from massive Eldar horde... The end.

Pretty how every SM game goes.

Generally I dont even touch Banshees or the Council 'till late game. The Reapers, Guardians and the Rangers (oh god, the Rangers! Best. Troops. Ever.) generally keep the enemy at bay 'till the Vvypers or Falcons turn up.

Then its crushing time

What level difficulty do you play it as?

Also, with the Dark Crusade, the campaign is so boring, compared to the Orginal Dawn of War game.

what is your favourite map? Bloodshed Alley is a good one.
Also Burial Grounds.
And Penal Colony.
Quite a few others.

I'm not gonna make a thread for DoW.
And basically, this game is kinda like King of the Hill.

Kill your opponents, live on the hill.

See the connection?

I found the original 2 campaigns a bit to restrictive for my taste (that and the first one was SM only). I mean, there was one way and one way only to do things and that made it very irritating (I also think the way the IG v Eldar thing in the 2nd last level of WA campaign was irritating)

Hmm, my favouite 2p map would have to be Fear, probably just for the name.
4p is Biffy's Peril, because the death fortress bases make for interesting sieges.
I absolutely hate Penal Colony. There just isnt enough resources to play a good game. It takes ages to get anything done.
I dont really have a 8p game as I dont play them too often, 2 and 4 are much more fun.

Gah, the infernal Breach.

I probably dont like it because I still remember the time I sent a huge army though the breach and they got decimated by Tim's mines.

*Expletive Deleted* mines!

Always, always, always play IG v Orks on that map. I guarantee your processor will give out due to the body count.

1) I still suck at this game for the moment cause I don't play it enough. I normally win when it's Eldar or Tau, or SM.
2) It was confining, but I still liked it more.
3) I don't play 2 players, but I think I should. 4, hardly, but I do sometimes. 6, a lot of the time and 8 most of the time. I like to think of the big clashes that 8 different teams make when they go against each other.

Ive only ever won the game as IG and Eldar, though I like the Eldar ending more (kill everything and leave, best strategy ever.)

I think ive been put off large games from the number of times ive joined large team games on the intnet and one or more of my teammates drops.

Thats why it better in small games, if they drop, you win.

I'm way not bothered to join on internet games. Anyway, every time I go on the game, I have to enter a code to let me go on it, and for some reason it doesn't work. So whatever.

Their server dosent seem to like me, it claims that games are full, even when they only have 1 person in them.

Ahh well, I havent played on the internet for a while.
Been concentrating on beating the games as Eldar again (on Hard this time, you wouldnt believe how much harder it makes it)

I played Rome for a bit too (ive been trying for a while to get Egyptians) but whenever my empire gets big enough (I was playing the Blue Romans) the Senate and the rest of those cowardly Romans gang up on me while my armies are fighting in Africa.

I've unlocked all the teams. And that's never happened to me before, maybe I need to play with a harder difficulty. Haha.

My favourite team would possibly be Selucids, or the Greeks. As I have my largets empires with them (With the Selucids I own all the west, all of Africa, and most of Greece and Italy. Also, there are only the Brits, the Red Roman Team, and the Green Roman team, and SPQR left.)

Carthage is also good.. I like their infantry.

Pah, I like their elephants!

Word from the wise; never, ever, ever, ever trust the AI to do something properly.

30 something elephants who had trampled their way across Spain (without a casuality) come up to 1 unit of infantry. I figure it would take more time to load than to kill them, so I do Autoattack. Results come up: 6 elephants dead.

How freaking hard is it to yell "Charge!"? Thats all my usual tactics consisted of.

Also, does anyone know why I cant create a skirmish defence game? I can makes ones where im attacking, but nothing in defence(which is much more fun)
