Oh god, you're one of these school-teacher types who's going to try to 'chair' the debate rather than let it run its natural course, aren't you?

If by "running natural course" you mean "spamming the hell out of it", then yes, I guess I am.

Actually, my brother told me the poll was stupid and I wanted to clarify it.

So having an opinion is okay, but acting according to your convictions isn't?

Acting according to your convictions is certainly not always harmless.

Not acting according to them is sometimes worse :)

Never a truer word spoken CA. But still, none of this affects ranck's statement.

I said no as well. I don't think some opinions are worthy of respect, and I don't see being too polite to tell others what I think. Give me a sincere enemy over an inconstant friend any day.

All opinions should be respected, whether or not you agree. Everybody should have a right to speak their mind, but if they do then they accept other's right to give their reasons against that person's opinion.
If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn't be. And what it wouldn't be, it would. You see?

I think that I'm confused then. I might try to enlighten others but I always respect their ability to disagree. I, on the other hand, do not respect any opinion that infringes on the rights of others.
