Congrats Narc and all you other scholary folk. Luckely for me, the students in my country have up to 2 years, after they listened all their lectures, to pass the exams. (On the other hand, this might not be so good, since I would probably graduate by now if I had some deadlines to kick me in the butt and make me study for a change.

Anyway, in S.A. the subjects are divided into Higher Grade or Standard Grade. At least two languages are required.

I'm doing the following (all on HG)...

English
Afrikaans Eerste Taal
Maths
Additional Maths
Physical Science
History
Accounting
Computer Studies (& Delphi Programming)

I'm aiming to get at least 80% in everything, except Afrikaans (where I have given up hope, expecting 60 something percent there.) I have no idea what I want to do at university next year, but I'll need the best marks possible if I want to get into medicine, which I am considering. (I don't intend to sound racist, but in South Africa (because of affirmative action) to get into medicine as a white man, you have to have brilliant marks.) I'm also thinking of Actuarial Science or Engineering, again must work. Plus a bursary would be nice.

the B was from consumer econ, a pretty gay class, my third B of my entire high school career

My worst grade in high school was also in home ec (this is what consumer ec is, no?), which I was quite unwillingly required by the school district to take. I made a D, which my irate parents and I finagled into getting changed to a C. Really, I didn't deserve any such grade. I went to class mostly, there wasn't any homework and few graded assignments, but I was maybe unnecessarily cruel to the teacher. I wouldn't call her ma'am. She was one of those many teachers of my young life with whom I had the following conversation:

Teach': "Did you finish?"
Me: "Yes."
Teach': "Yes what?"
Me: "What??"

Anyway, I blame that bad grade for my subsequent failure in life.

I got the B because I missed ONE weekly assignment, it was supposed to be worth only 5 points like the rest but the teacher made it 10... so that brought me down to a 90, and then my final project was absolute crap...We were given computer time EVERYDAY FOR A WEEK to research, but instead I just spent my time on CC . Eventually I started a couple days before it was due, and I had to stay up all night finishing it...
