Do you use the small map or large map image in games?

If a bit of both, which do you use MOST of the time?

I voted small, the big map I have to move my chair away from the comp or else I get eyestrain.

Small map, no exceptions. When I sit for people, I always change it, because I just can't stand scrolling the screen to the left/right and up/down all the time.

if ure bored u could fix the strange waves which still affect my dice,

on my iphone and laptop i use small. i recently purchased a super large screen mac and use the large just on that one.

only time I've ever used big was to get a closer look at the details of a map... for actual playing I always use small

I pretty much always use the big map, but I have a pretty big widescreen laptop.

That picture doesn't really do it justice. It's a 17.3" screen with 1600X900 resolution, so I really enjoy the big maps and don't have to scroll all that much. Ha, I even use the big map for King's Court 2, which I definitely have to scroll on, but it doesn't bother me.

If I had a smaller laptop or was playing from a phone, then yeah, I would use the small map.

Always small, from my small screens at home to my large one at work. Never used the big image.

Looking at the other posts I did realize there are times when I use the big maps when its a new-to-me map and there are a lot of small terts squished together close.

I usually use the large map. Even though I hate the scrolling, I can't see things clearly on most of the small version.

If that is the case then get over to the foundry and tell the map makers that. :mrgreen:

I spend too much time bitching at the mapmakers, and then I feel guilty as hell because they work so hard and it's not fair. It's really not their fault that I'm an old man with bad eyesight.

One day I'll be rich and either I'll get one of those fancy 26-inch monitors or contact lenses. Maybe even both...

Maybe we can start a collection for you then. Last year was SOS Africa, this year SOS Dukasaur.

But still, bitch away, as it is the only way to get better maps. Some things cannot be done but some can and will not get done till you scream blue bloody murder. But either way, unless you say it, we do not know it.

I like to play on a large map zoomed in, so I can only see one territory at a time. It's real fog of war, just like we had back in 'Nam.
