Do the dice still suck?

We haven't had a good dice-bitch thread in awhile. I for one think the dice are completely random/fair... or at least as random and fair as is practically possible. I encourage you all to disagree.

Why would you think the dice are fair? There's no reason to anthropomorphise them. Fairness doesn't come into it. May as well ask if the dice are as caring as practically possible.

Nor are they completely random. Your faith in that completeness is utterly bizarre. Beyond the obvious argument that you will be rolling a number between 1 and 6 (inclusive, but excluding fractions), much of the game is based on predictability and odds. A completely random die would have an opportunity to roll a 7, or a million. The dice are clearly not completely random.

I think you've accepted the basic tenet that they are not completely random, but perhaps you still think they're random within a strict set of limits- 1, 2, 4, 5, and 6.

Lies!

Kittens are deeply unfair, and profoundly selfish. While their cuteness remains an obviously unquestionable element, they are born killers. Nor are kittens "completely random"- they are a predictable result of pregnancy in cats.

If this is going the way it seems, Mr Dufresne, perhaps you'd like to put your "replace the dice with kittens" agenda in the suggestions thread and see how it fares.

Don't think for a second that people on the off topic forum didn't see an agenda at play when it was renamed a while ago in reference to Schroedinger's cat.
