I've found the best map for 1v1s. Istanbul. It has no strange bonuses, you don't have to attack lots of neutrals and you always start with 3 troops, so going second isn't such a disadvantage.
For me its a very strategic map with the different attack routes too. Of course there's always the odd game that's decided by the drop but they are a lot more rare than other maps. Thank you whoever made that map.
