On an aside i think LSU's post seems like a typical mafia defensive post which doesn't actually discuss the issues at hand. And on top of that he's totally misinterpreting what I was sayin, which is my fault for not being clear - but could be evasion tactics.

Do we have anything that actually indicates the robber actually exists? I mean I think that since it originates in a lynch scene (which don't contain any real info) that it is probably just flavor.

Nah I was just sayin that all ur D1 votes put together could look like mafia voting all the townies. Just a minor FOS. That was a long time ago too and a lot has happened since, but nothing to convince me of your innocence so you remain in the grey area for me.

Wait - there was something, I KNEW there was a reason why I hadn't been suspecting Zimmah for ages.

/ cleared him by saying that the mod made a mistake and told him an investigation result on Zimmah and that he was town.
At the time I decided to go with it but it still does seem curious to me. Especially as Epi then chimed in and said - "well I see no reason to doubt /" or something like that.
Just saying...we cannot discount the fact that / was lying - which if this were the case, would implicated both him and Zim.
I chose to believe / at the time and for that reason neither of them have shown up on my radar, but I think it's worth bearing in mind. A lot has happened in this game now and there are so many variables possible so it's difficult to keep track.

So now it's back to FOSing Spiesr and jonty I guess. Yes there was the lynch scene and the axe and stuff but there were also other items that went missing. What happens when you magic them? They just disappear?

Sorry ol' chap. No need to take offense. But yeah I'm going on that theory about the baseball bat. Anyone could be lying tho so who knows what to believe? As I said, depending on who is lying and what's going on you could be suspicious or / and Zim could be suspicious if / is lying about the accidental mod result, or LSU as I have mentioned or Spiesr as many believe or Neb and Sam. We have 2 mafia down so there must be 2 (or worst case scenario 3) mafia left, not to mention thieving 3rd parties etc.

I'm back. Just read up the new posts. My gut reaction says Pershy is casting suspicion about like crazy. His last post alone mentions at least 6 different people that could be suspicious. If Pershy was somehow cleared already, I apologize for this, but...

I was going to let you guys figure out where to go, but its been awhile since I have posted so I just want reiterate. Here is how I see it.

Zim is putting / in the clear and I think he is right. I then have to believe that Zim is clear. The case on Jonty is good but not necessarily clear cut. I think that the Spiesr case is the best one put forward, and now I am having suspicions about Pershy too, a la Neb. Nonetheless, I stand beside my case on Spiesr.

For one, it wasn't a lynch scene that indicated the robber, it was a night scene, which the mod said contained info.
*sigh* I can tell that town won't cooperate in time, so I'll just claim already.

I'm the last scum, I got vodean and epitaph lynched for the lulz.

kidding, I'm the "modified town cop" in crazy's words, there is nothing investigationy about my role, I am basically just a doc against the thief, I protect items, but the name threw off the mod night one.

So I ask you, why would the mod put in a town anti-thesis to a town role?

Well, I have left to defend myself with at this point is basically crappy WIFOM arguments, but I suppose I have to give it a shot anyway.
The first question I have to raise regards yesterday. Why would I keep coming back to the case on Epitaph (scum)? If we were scum mates would I really want to keep bringing the thing back up? Especially when you consider the circumstances at the time. I could certainly have tried to let it be lost in the issues with Yomiel, if I was scum wouldn't I have wanted the Yomiel thing to keep going until he gets himself lynched?
Another point, if we assume that I am the only one with the ability to remove a player's item, then why would I risk revealing that power?

Well to be honest, the first thing that came in my mind when I recieved the baseball bat was: "theyre trying to set me up". So that's why I immediately said I recieved it to prevent me from getting suspicious. / makes a good point too, and even though I have no direct evidence for hs alignment, I had a town feeling with him this game the entire time.

I'm inclined to accept / (certainly in absence of any counter-claiming) and by implication I'm not looking at Zim either. Interesting that the bat could have been used to set someone up? This would be particularly so if handed to town as there would be no ability to use it at night!

I find spiesr's attempt at a defence uncompelling. Frankly rubbishing a case outright and then answering it with questions is never particularly compelling in my book, but I guess that's a style thing. In answer to the "why would I" comes the "why wouldn't you - to look town - to deflect - playing badly" etc responses. Anyway, vote spiesr.

@ Neb - I know you've been away but I really don't get where you are coming from. On my reading pershy has been frequently posting and trying to nut things out. There is a difference between that and jumping around votes. I would have thought you would have gone a little more softly than to leap into voting by gut feeling on day 4! Something to think about tomorrow I guess. That is to say, more explanation from you and perhaps more clarification from pershy. But a vote? Seriously? :roll:

I also am inclined at this point to vote Spiesr and find the whole situation regarding the taking of objects to be pretty scummy. I won't put him at L-1 just yet, but will give him a chance to post a final explanation on why we shouldn't lynch him.

My vote was on Pershy.

@Hippo - Yes. I voted. I see too many people in this game afraid to commit to a vote. They'd rather pussyfoot around and run into a deadline. I haven't reread yet, but I will. My thoughts on Pershy was that he was posting a lot, but also offering a lot of confusion about who he was actually suspicious of.

Why shouldn't you lynch me? Well, I have been honest with you thus regarding my powers and have been using it in a pro-town manner. My can (at least I think) help keep people alive by sort of acting as a role blocker.
Eh, mislynching me won't be critical or anything probably. With 10 alive we shouldn't be anywhere near MYLO or anything so I suppose if lynching me allows you to prove stuff the provides a lead on the remaining scum then it might be worth it.

WHAT?!?!?!!?! I was not casting suspicion around like crazy. I was using a process of elimination and there are only 1 or 2 that I am sure are town. Can you say differently Neb? And I mentioned people saying I think I can trst this person to be town if they are telling the truth in this context, but however if they are not then this person and this person are not cleared...ad nauseum.

This is a very scummy post and is truly casting suspicion. Damn right I was cleared! And not just because I could verify my claim, but because I was against believing Vodean's fake claim and mistrusted Epi a lot on D1 as you can see if you go back and read the thread. Another person I didn't trust was Daz. Neb took over from Daz right?

Back to who to lynch. It seems we are at an impass. I will change my vote if that is the consensus. Many don't find Spiesr's defense compelling. I am on the fence. Either way, we gotta find out something about him and jonty for sure. I have mentioned my other suspicions.
