The city of Mafia, Forum, in the great nation of CC had just received word that a major organized crime syndicate was trying to establish a foothold. they had been thwarted on their previous attempt, and this time decided to send a larger contingent. they were determined, driven, and cold-blooded. But once again, the mole in their organization had sent word ahead, and the town was informed. they again set up the old isolation warehouse, and placed all the newcomers to the town inside, and told them to figure it out. kill whoever they needed. When they had killed the mafia, they would be released.

As the immigrants awoke on the first morning of their isolation, they noticed that one member of the group was still asleep. they found this suspicious and wondered what he had been doing the last night. hiding his weapons perhaps?

are we supposed to find details inside the scenes or are they just for fun?

for example the still asleep guy probably can't post anything in the thread, so by having everybody post here we can probably quickly identify who he is.

also i'm pretty concerned about the large contingent that mafia supposedly sent. from what i know in 9 player games we have 2-3 anti town roles (either mafia or serial killers, cult leaders or a combination of all those).
now is it possible we might have more than that? or am i reading too much into this?

i didn't say anything about imbalance i was merely speculating on the scene.
i suppose balance can be achieved even with 4 mafia, perhaps by having one of them suspiciously sleeping and with a "hiding guns all night" accusation right in the text. i'm thinking that might be too obvious and too easy but maybe that's just what you're counting on. having something in plain sight and seeing people dismissing it just because it is in plain sight :lol:

anyway, could everybody post here as soon as possible just to see if you're awake.
this should give us whoever's still sleeping.

then again the sleeping guy might very well be a townie that's been drugged by the mafia.

I think the reference to a "sleeping guy" is tongue in cheek, poking at either SG7, for not being around, and not having checked his message...or perhaps "He Who Shall Not Be Named" for confirming late?

I wouldn't read into it too much.

I reckon he does, as my vote was purely joking...did that NOT come across in the fact that I didn't even vote a real player? While I'm okay with pressuring the inactives...doing so within one day of starting, and on a weekend seems a bit quick for me. I'll give him until the end of Monday to post something and show he is alive. If nothing, then I will request a prod...then replacement. I'm not sure what the "pressure" will provide, when the game just started.

i will not allow you to lynch SG7 until he at least reads the role PM, and maybe we'll even let him confirm ;). i'll give him until friday. and you all have until the following friday to achieve a lynch (subject to change depending on activity). thats the 27th of July.

I was just trying to make the point that SG7 has a reputation for leaving games for long periods of time and in my opinion ruining them. In this small of a game his l;ack of participation could prove costly. I would hope the mod iond a replacement asaap.

I agree. Waiting until Friday seems too long. I would urge him to start prodding/replacing by Tuesday. His absence gives scum an easy reason to lynch the "submariner."
