At first I was in the camp of Safari being suspicious, but this latest statement is nearly a softclaim. Maybe we should take safari seriously after all.

I'd also like to state that I believe there is a mafia roleblocker and that edoc is taking the route of informing people whther they perform any action or not. I thought about not saying anything about this but if the mafia did indeed find me worthy of roleblocking last night they may attempt to kill me tonight with the doctor dead or roleblock me again and at this point, I feel I should say what I know. Could I have been roleblocked by town? Yes but I don't feel like anyone regarded me as being scummy yesterday so that seems likely. Could I have been jailed? I would hope that any jailer we might have would have targeted chap even if it meant he didn't get to protect anyone. Could I have been busdriven and accidentally roleblocked? Yes but that would imply someone intentionally blocked chap (mafia roleblocker or jailer) and that mafia was attempting to kill me (more reason to say what I know).

I'd say it's likely we have a mafia roleblocker, using meta from the last game (i.e. my role from the last game). The other possibilities are certainly possibilities, but I'd be surprised if any of those were actually the case, as we'd have to have a stupid jailor or a stupid busdriver, I figure.

The game is likely to be 7-3 or 6-3-1 at this point.

If Safari is lying, killing Jonty and losing 1 townie overnights leads us to 5-3 or 4-3-1, at which point we could kill Safari and enter N3 5-2/4-2-1 and probably D4 4-2/3-2-1.

If Safari is telling the truth, we'll enter D3 with a likely 6-2 or 5-2-1.

I think I know why Safari was so cryptic in case he is telling the truth, but I still don't know whether that is correct or not.

For now I'll keep not voting. Regardless of the lynch target, I'd like time to hear from Tail, Soundman and PCM.

Yes. I would agree about the jailor being stupid if he did not protect the doc (keeping him alive would be worth him being blocked one night. The busdriver should have targeted Chap to help protect him though I would have to question why I was switched with him so I would agree that mafia roleblocker seems the most likely.

I would think Hades to be essentially Satan. I'm not so sure he'd be in this game. But you do bring up a good point, as I believe we did have a third party last game. I'd say Prometheus isn't a bad bet.

Safari's making a pretty fierce statement there. It warrants jonty's response, but I agree with Rodion that we need to hear from him before we make any moves.

To be fair, I'd agree with MeDeFe here - while Hades does have similarities with Satan, his character and what he does is very unlike Satan.

Also Hades did technically kidnap Persephone (I think) so that he could marry her. Of course Poseidon and Zeus routinely raped women so yeah...prometheus seems like a likely third party candidate. A Titan who betrayed the other Titans and then portrayed the Gods by stealing fire and giving it to man. The key here though is as part of his punishment was to be chained to a rock (the other part was that a bird ate out his liver each day) and the scene mentions a chained god as the killer...

I'm here! Just been super busy since Friday. I think Saf's logic is way off but now with the "softclaim" I'm thinking it was just a way to try and get votes on Jonty without revealing anything. So I'm inclined to go with Saf on this one and Vote Jonty.

I actually went to Wikipedia and looked up the Titans, and obviously different stories have different accounts. While Prometheus seems the obvious choice about being chained to a rock, I would like to point out that out of the Titans, he's probably one of them that seems less likely to be mafia. I think he probably cares less about Godly affairs and more about the fate of mankind (giving the fire). And Hercules eventually frees him, and we don't hear anything more about him.

Supposedly, he helps the Olympian Gods during the Great War, but again, with all the sources, we cannot be sure. I'm just saying that a chained god is vague enough that it could be almost any prisoner of Tartarus, but I don't remember Cronus being cut to pieces.

Prometheus was chained after the war with the Titans. Zeus punished him for giving mankind fire, so maybe he's got a grudge? The whole point of Prometheus was foresight (his name means something to that effect), so that seems a bit out of character for him.

So, you make absolutely no attempt to defend yourself and I too would be willing to bet my life your scum but I doubt people are going to accept that. If town keep me alive today you can do a cop investigate I'll come clean but I'll claim.

I am Hestia. The goddess of the hearth. And I am a flavour cop. In my role PM the logic behind this (being a flavour cop) was that I had sat in the flame of Olympus for many years and had gathered information from and about many Gods and Titans yet due to some unknown reasons I am struggling to recall my memory and can all recall pictures (3 at a time). Last night I investigated safari and I got 3 pictures. Fire, Liver, Eagle. After doing some research I believe safari is the titan Prometheus. He stole [/u]fire[/u] from Zeus, and his punishment was having his liver being pecked out daily by an eagle.

Well Hestia was one of the Gods born to Kronos and Rhea. If Jonty is telling the truth than I can't see safari being anyone but Prometheus from that description. As far as flavor. It may or may not fit, I honestly do not know much about Hestia. She isn't among the ones I think are strong claims but that's not a big thing. Other than claimed roles, the strongest claims would be Zeus, Poseidon, Hades and Hera and even out of them (excluding Zeus), I kind of feel one was probably left out to give mafia a strong Fake Claim. There's a few others I feel might be included but I won't give mafia any ideas for fake claims.

Id like to hear Safari's response. If he admits to being Prometheus than we'll have a discussion going on.

Alright, well then I'll claim. I indeed am Prometheus, but I am a Third Party Watcher Survivor role. Probably due to the fact that I'm chained to the rock, all I can do is watch people. And I don't have any real allegiance to either side, I'm just hoping someone frees me eventually. I saw jonty perform the kill last night.

I don't see how Hestia is a particularly strong roleclaim, especially because she's often not considered one of the Olympian Gods. Dionysus usually takes that spot.

Taking the myths and their individual stories into account, I think saf's makes more sense. Hestia is a big stretch for flavor cop. She's not even in any major myths. And as was said before, Prometheus could go either way.

I doubt mafia would have a "ninja" (untrackable/unwatchable) role (I've only saw it in a game I modded, so it's rare), which means the most likely possibilities are:

a) Safari tells the truth, Jonty lies -> Jonty is actually a mafia rolecop and he actually targeted Safari. Jonty has to lynched.
b) Safari lies, Jonty tells the truth -> Safari is still Prometheus, but he tried to implicate Jonty and get him lynched, so we can only assume Saf to be anti-town. Safari has to be lynched.
c) Safari and Jonty are both lying -> they are both mafia and decided to buss each other so whomever got to live would be "cleared" for days to come and possibly fool town in LYLO. Both have to be lynched.

Scenario B is the best scenario for town, but A could be the most likely (not to mention if A is correct I can brag in other games about how I deserve to be directing power roles -

- ).

I'll sleep on it, please nobody jump the gun!

And if anyone can counterclaim either rolecop or watcher, go ahead and make our lives easier!
