Sharing points w/ Deadbeat partners

Postby gimpyThewonder on Fri Apr 13, 2007 3:23 pm

Am i the only one that feels that if you have a partner and he deadbeats on you then you shouldn't have to share any points garnered in a game w/ him?

until its changed

Postby BeastofBurson on Fri Apr 13, 2007 4:48 pm

until its changed it should be re-mentioned...

Deadbeats are rewarded if their partners win the game by themselves.....

funny how deadbeats are rewarded like that..and get bonus armies.....when they do actually show up from time to time

no wonder so many people do it..there's no punishment for it

I suggest starting a poll for it...not that it will get you anywhere

Not to put words in kitten's mouth, but I think she may have just been saying it's been noted as an inequity in the scoring system for a long time and hasn't been fixed yet.

So I don't think she was necessarily criticizing the fact that you posted it, but rather the fact that it's still a problem.

I for one don't have a problem with people posting stuff over and over again because they don't know it hasn't been discussed before. It seems to me it acts as drumbeat for needed change.

There are those however who are so put out by someone posting something and "forcing" them to read it, that they will in turn post something criticizing the necessity of the original post and in turn "force" other people to read their post.

I just don't think kitten is one of those people.

Then again, sometimes I'm wrong.

Guess I'll keep my words in my own mouth... :)

I say: When somebody deadbeats, we find him and burn down his house. :twisted: As a warning. If he deadbeats again, bah, some people never learn. =;

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCMENT: BURNINING HOUSES IS BAD. DO NOT TRY TO DO IT AT HOME. THIS WAS JUST A JOKE.

'Cause you never know these days.

Just had it happen to me; "partner" didn't even play a round.

I won anyway. Partner gets 53 points. Boo.
