You must keep in mind that sexuality isn't black & white. It isn't GAY/STRAIGHT with nothing in-between. This man could be bi-sexual...still having feelings for men. You have no idea what he reads/watches/surfs when nobody is watching.

i have never been told that it was sick... by my parents....... and if my family was so against people like that why would we invite them to our house ........ we treated him like a human being

For the simple fact that a smoker can cause cancer to innocent by standers and a man who is married to another can not.
Smoking = a potential health hazard to the public.
abolishment of gay marriage = an obsessive crave for control over other people's lives (=small penis syndrome)

You and the original poster are falling into the same fallacy: You assume that homosexuals either don't have children or have children at a much lower rate that the rest of the population. I'm not sure that's true today in those countries where homosexuality is relatively accepted, I bet that's not true in most of the world today, and it seems ridiculous that that would be true for most of the history of humankind.

When all is said and done, male homosexuals do nowdays have fewer children than most heterosexual men. No-one will have figures for the exact percentage reduction but even a reduction of 10% (which is reasonably cautious) overall would lead to the extinction of the gene. It does not have to be a much lower rate.

I never said that everything is caused by religion. However, religion is many times used as a vessel by certain people to affect the masses. (Take the islam extremists, no where in the quran does it say that they have to kill eeryone who is not Islamic.
