Social Lounge I?

Was there ever one? If there was, what happened? Is this a Snowball I / Snowball II thing, or was it a sort of natural succession, i.e., stronger, faster, better than it was before? Just can't quite figure out why the only Social Lounge is marked as being the second. Thanks.

A long long time ago, before my time, lack created forums. But, they were spammed so much, that everybody hated them. And so, the social lounge was created. But, when all the spammers moved there, it overloaded the matrix, and crashed the entire site! And so, lack created Social Lounge II, and said "Let there be Spam!", because this one was bigger, faster, and stronger than before. But, to make sure that the site doesn't crash on us again, Andy keeps us spammers in place with his deadly trout.

And so is the story of the Social Lounge. Use your newfound knowledge wisely young spammer.

Bah, not quite!

This area has had TONS of different names.

Social Lounge and Social Lounge II occurred of course, but it was also known as The Water Cooler, The Romper Room and a few other names I believe.

Thats the best name, since it has the unnecessary comma in it. Thats also why the Longest thread, thread has the unnecessary comma, as a further irony to that threads creation.

After being named that for 7 months a great stache Master Bush suggested that maybe we name this forum the 'Social Lounge'. Lack liked the suggestion so much that he made it a pole. Social lounge won in a very very close victory and it caused alot of controversy. It caused so much controversy that to solve the situation lack decided to change the name every month. It has gone by a couple other names such as the 'Romper Room' as suggested by another great stache D.isle.real.brown and the 'water cooler' which was sort of gay. After running out of names he decided to go back to 'Social Lounge', but make it social lounge II
