Are you sure you are using the same browser/computer all the time? Because watched tab is connected to a particular computer, not to a CC account. I have to rearrange my watched list every day at home and at work PCs.

i am using the computer that is beside my bed. it looks the same as the one that was sitting there yesterday.

the last time i used WTG was Friday. over the weekend there was a firefox upgrade that required a reinstall. i think i went from 3.6.21 to 3.6.22.

is that what is fucking up WTG ?

How often do you actually log off from or shut down your computer, as opposed to hibernating or going to standby? When Firefox restarted to complete its upgrade, it may have gone back to things as they were at an earlier date in order to restore the system.

i don't ever turn my pc off unless i am going away for the weekend which would have been about 2 weeks ago.

so assuming there is a connection, do i need to close firefox more often or completely shut down my pc more often?

or

is there a list of what i have saved somewhere on my pc that i could copy and paste back in after firefox does another upgrade?

Updates should not interact with your firefox settings unless there was unclean shut-down (power failure or process hanged or reboot).

You don't need to reboot often - just usually Windows has a trend to waste system memory after a while and rebooting restores it back to normal. But on the other hand - some servers like google or facebook were never rebooted at all and they are perfectly fine.

I'm not trying to contradict what Dako said above, because I don't know how or where WTG stores its information, but if the games you are seeing now are the ones you were watching when you shut down your PC for the weekend 2 weeks ago, then I would suspect that the records of the games you have added since then were misplaced when Firefox updated (it did require you to restart Firefox, didn't it?). Assuming that connection, it couldn't hurt at least to restart Firefox once in a while (it can save your session, so everything comes back pretty much as it was). That way, data gets forced to disk and should be there after an update, though why those records didn't go to disk when Firefox did that last update, I don't know.

WTG stores info inside of Firefox so if you perform unclean shutdown data can get corrupted and you will revert to previous saved data. That can easily be 2 weeks ago.

I am now having the same problem as greenoaks, whereby every couple of days it reverts to my 'old' list of watched games from a couple of weeks ago. I hardly ever do a full shutdown, always hibernate, so I'm wondering if it is this latest version of Firefox?

Which one do you use?
I would also love to see your script variables from about:config page. Good list and old lists both. Somehow it looks like there might be a problem while closing firefox.

Where do I look for the about:config page?

Just type it in the browser URL. Then use "watch" as a search field and you will get all the script info there.

MIght be one of these things that fixes when a newer version of firefox comes along again, but it is a massively useful tool when working

As far as I remember, Firefox uses a file to initialize the configuration options when starting up, and this file is backed up and written away when you close down normally. These options do contain the settings for user scripts.
The problem someone had with snapshots is the same problem I see here, FF is closed unexpectedly, doesn't write away the settings and uses the old settings when starting up. This person also did not close down FF for weeks. We can't help that behaviour, except by storing/writing values to the local storage or something like it.

I don't know if what I'm thinking is at all related to what is happening here, but what if someone used two devices from time to time which either shared or synchronized their configuration files. For example, someone uses a desktop and a laptop, configured so that all the configuration, history, and what not are synchronized. If the desktop was always on, but the laptop was restarted from time to time, the configurations on disk and in memory might get out of sync.
