This is seriously confusing. Why does mob's calling for a no lynch scream noob inexperience to you, but dibbler doing the same warrants your vote? You say at the start of your post that you're inclined to give new players a pass for suggesting a no lynch, but you're voting dibbler, a new player, for doing exactly that. If you think pressuing a submariner is the best course, why are you instead on the dibbler wagon?

Vote safariguy- you're voting someone for something that by your own admission you don't think is scummy. That's a horribly anti-town thing to do.

so the mafia went after confirmed masons. At least this helps us know we have one confirmed townie (unless there is some sort of hidden mafia-town mason thing going on). So doc has a target tonight.

vote Dibbler I'd like to hear from him and see what he has to say.

Other than that, we have the name of a mafia member. So whoever has O'Ren, claim now! No takers? I didn't think so... Anyway, so the real O'Ren won't show her face, and will likely have a fakeclaim (don't remember what the mod said about fakeclaims).

No, there's a difference. MoB was suggesting we no lynch with no real deadline pressure. Dibbler was trying to hurry the deadline by suggesting we quickly end the day (either mod enforced or through player inactivity). The difference is that one of them was done as a suggestion with no time pressure and the other was done with time pressure and trying to look helpful without really doing anything constructive for town (i.e. looking busy).

I've been mulling it over, but I'm thinking there's probably enough protection out there for me to do this.

I claim Colonel Hans Landa town investigator. I have a guilty result. Would you like me to wait for any counter-claims before posting my result or going straight ahead with it?

Wait for someone more experienced to verify, but there should be no reason NOT to share your info especially since you role called! Let's get to lynching scum!!

(in all games I played imvestigators only narrow down roles but usually leaves a 50/50 shot at mafia or town. I guess this is not the case here?)

Usually a sane cop will get the correct guilty result. Landa doesn't seem like a particularly town character, but I'm willing to see what he has to say.

I agree if you have a guilty guy you should say. We are lucky to have such good evidence to go on for day 2.

I have a guilty on SafariGuy.

I haven't seen the film so can anyone comment on any potential sanity or paranoia issues?

In any case; Vote SafariGuy.

I also have not seen the film. I googled it though and it seems to me he would not be paranoid or anything like that. From what it said where I looked he seemed very clever and good at what he did.

Does anyone else know if he is likely to be a sane cop?

I would say let him reveal, at least. We should be able to quickly determine his sanity after that anyways.

Well I'm Lance, Town CPR Doctor. Basically, if I target someone for a save at night, I only save them if they were targeted for a night kill. If they weren't targeted for a night kill, then I kill them. So basically it's like a vigilante.

That's why I cautioned against rash vigilante kills yesterday, as vig kills could also come from a JOAT or an actual Town Vig (this being Tarantino, I'd assume several characters would have guns).

So no idea on why you might have gotten a guilty on me, could have been busdriven, framed, or maybe I'm a miller and I wasn't told of it (has happened in games before).

I personally think Landa is most likely sane, if you watch Inglourious Basterds, he specifically states that he doesn't feel any particular loyalty to the Nazis, and he does respect the resourcefulness of the Jews. There's a small possibility he might be paranoid, but flavor wise, it does seem like he's probably sane.

I forgot to mention it, but I didn't go anywhere last night as the odds of me correctly protecting the right person would be pretty low.

Vote Safariguy5. Shaggy Dan was not counter claimed, and a guilty is a guilty. I find it most likely that Safari's claim is a fake claim that is not going to be countered and its a damn fine one...but the guilty verdict holds more weight in my book.

vote safariguy

It sounds like a good fakeclaim to me. I agree that there is a chance he was framed or something like that. But the guilty investigation is enough for me to vote.
