Yes I can confirm that AdmiralGaal is town mason with me... I am Jules Winnfield the other town mason O:)

Thanks for confirming. If you want to post your thoughts about the game and even who you think mafia might be at any point feel free to do that too. ;)

safariguy5 wrote:The problem with having the day go on longer is that eventually we'll just pressure everyone in turn, leading to a massclaim eventually, and even if we do get a mafia lynch, the mafia will know exactly who the town PR's are and pick off the cops and docs.

Huh? This is an argument against lynching anyone who isn't confirmed scum, and is pretty ridiculous. We didn't lynch admiral because he had a rock solid claim; that won't be the case for any scum or the vast majority of townies.

If Rodion isn't extending the deadline we won't get a lynch today and it's not the end of the world, but it would have been better if we had.

See Albarezzi Mafia. We got pushed into a massclaim, and even when we caught 1 scum, mafia had a 1-shot recruit and town ended up losing due to basically guessing who was recruited and about 3 mislynches/missed Vig shots.

Mafia probably have fakeclaims, pushing for a massclaim is problem because I don't think we'll be able to find out who's lying immediately.

Most townspeople being puzzled by the murder, yet cold enough to not overlook their own interests while mourning some random guy's death, they decide to discuss it in the nearest coffee shop.

Violet: "And I'll have one latte and 3 vanilla muffins."

Shield: "I wonder whether Violet is trying to softclaim vanilla townie. That's the only possible meaning for ordering so many vanilla muffins!"

Violet: "Perhaps..."

Safari: "It's not the only possibility. She could actually be fishing for reactions by using subliminal messages and seeing how everyone reacts to it."

Dazza2008: "I'm new here, but doesn't that mean she is mafia trying to out our PRs by process of elimination?"

Safari: "Not necessarily, town is also interested in knowing who's town as long as mafia does not realize it."

Soundman: "That makes a lot of sense. How did people react, Violet?"

Violet: "Actually..."

Alt1978: "That's all crap, why don't you try to sell that story to the tourists?"

Grifftron: "I take it you know what's really going on then, Mr. Knowitall?"

Alt1978: "Yes, I've extensively studied psychology with pigs. Through the analysis of endless data I can only conclude that her request is a freudian representation of her current and boring monogamic relationship."

Shaggydan: "Wait, what?"

Alt1978: "Yes, that's it. I'll tell you specifically what this is all about. She's certainly a girl that has had many affairs. Men here, men there, men everywhere. Sometimes two or even three at once, women occasionally involved as well to add that extra spice. A great life, filled with adventures and the thrill of not being tamed. Then she meets this one guy, a guy she actually likes beyond the physical aspect and thinks “hey, maybe it’s time to settle down”! She tries to mold her ways into her new life and, don’t take her wrongly, she IS happy and all, but sometimes she feels like there is something missing, like her life has no emotion anymore, thus the word vanilla comes to her mind.”
Admiral: “That is certainly insightfiul.”

Violet: “But...”

Dazerazer: “Isn’t it possible that she just wants to go low on calories since vanilla is healthier than chocolate?”

Yoshi: “They say the simplest explanations are usually the correct ones and things can’t get any simpler than a girl on a (poorly balanced) diet.”

Slow: “I wonder whether we could find an explanation that is even simpler?”

Violet: “Wait, let me finish! I just like the taste of vanilla muffins, that’s it!”

Icedagger: “Now that is TOO simple!”

BGtheBrain: “Yes, worst speculation so far. I’m not buying it.”

God Emperor Q: “Anyhow, it’s getting late, who are we going to Lynch?”

MOB Deadly: “Nobody.”

Drake: “Nobody?”

MOB Deadly: “Yes, nobody.”

Drake: “Why nobody?”

MOB Deadly: “I don’t D1 lynch.”

Drake: “Why?”

MOB Deadly: “I don’t believe in D1 lynching.”

Drake: “You must be insane! Lynching D1 is the best pro-town course of action!”

MOB Deadly: “Not always. You see, I don’t mind lynching someone on D1 if they look really scummy, but this lynching automatically, it’s for the birds. We’re more likely to hit town than not.”

Shaggydan: “Well, Admiral was really scummy...”

MOB Deadly: “No, Admiral was not really scummy, He was slightly scummy. Nothing special.”

Soundman: “What does someone have to do in order to get really scummy in your eyes, claim cult recruiter?

MOD Deadly: “Well, I’d certainly D1 lynch someone over that!

Dibbler: “You guys certainly like to talk shit, so let me tell you some shit: 3 townies standing confused in LYLO wondering how they got there. ‘What did we do wrong?’ ‘I’m not getting it, this game is probably poorly balanced!’ Then one guy says: ‘maybe, MAYBE if we had lynched people instead of debating muffin flavours all Day we would have avoided this. Get it? Then we had better learn with our mistakes as it’s already dark outside.”

Day 1 ends. It is now night 1. You have 72 hours to send your night actions.

O-Ren Ishii runs silently like a fox. She has her target in mind and she knows he can't escape her grasp: besides being a very skilled assassin, she knew she was having a really lucky night and the sum of luck and skill made her unstoppable. Dashing through the maze of alleys, O-ren quickly finds the building of her victim. The building's door lock was easily picked, as was the apartment's. It didn't take long until she reached Vincent Vega's room and saw him snoring in his white-sheeted bed. Katana unsheathed, quick slash aimed at the jugular. In a matter of seconds O-Ren had left the building, leaving Vincent forever alone in his red-sheeted bed.

AdmiralGaal - Vincent Vega, town mason, has been killed.

It is now day 2. With 16 alive, it takes 9 to lynch.

Was that noob of scum to kill confirmed masons? Masons dont normally have any extra powers, I thought they would rather shoot someone random to try to get a power role?

I believe they killed him as confirmed townies can be dangerous towards the end of the game when their is only a few players left in the game.

This.

Also, I've seen instances where masons have had powers, either 1 or both of them. I think we can pretty well assume this is a Tarantino Themed mafia game (Kill Bill and Pulp Fiction confirmed).

And yes, vote Dibbler for his actions yesterday.

I don't like the dibbler wagon. It wasn't in town's interest for the day to end without a lynch, but I found his defence pretty convincing. Frankly I don't think scum would be brazen enough to raise their heads above the parapet by voting against extending the deadline.

Mob- you argued at some length for a no-lynch at one point on day one. Why are you voting dibbler for doing the same?

Safari- You're one of the more experienced players here, and have been posting pretty frequently. And yet the bulk of these posts have been more concerned with game mechanics than scum hunting. You haven't voiced so much as a suspicion of your own, but you've jumped on two bandwagons, one of them pretty feeble. Why are you keeping such a low profile?

The scummy reads so far this game (suggesting no lynch) have been pretty blatant. But with all the newer players, I'm more inclined to give them a pass. The problem is that with scummy moves come long discussions about the validity of the moves. I mean, I'm willing to pursue a case on Mob Deadly, but really his actions scream noob inexperience more than they do scum to me. Just the way I see it.

As for other cases, I think pressuring a less active player would be my course. soundman comes to mind as a submariner.

Because ice, now I know the value of long daytimes. You will never catch me saying that again because there is so much you can learn about people during these days. And now later in the game you can strategize a lot better as well. I don't necessarily want to see him lycnhed, but I definitely want him pressured into hopefully a role call. He has shown a lot of disinterest into the commitment for a long game, so the least he can do is give the town some more information to work with

Basically his actions at the end of Day 1. Calling for a speedier deadline.

Granted, it isn't much, but unless a cop got a guilty investigation, still the most promising lead from Day 1.

That or pressuring an inactive, but it really doesn't tell us as much if we go after an inactive.

I would rather honestly see some of the other inactives voted on more than Dibbler, but this is the case everyone is focused on, lets take care of it then focus on something else. I tried to vote shaggy dan yesterday, no one even acknowledged it or had anything to say.

I see. I will vote Dibbler too then. Lets see what he has to say. I am still not sure this was scummy. Seems he was just not expecting it to last as long. I saw he left another game which has not started so it could just be he is not enjoying how long it takes.

Like you say though with no investigation on anyone yet this is the best we have.

Dibbler strikes me as a townie. He's bored with all the waiting and told us he didn't care if he was lynched. I think he would be more interested in the game and not mind waiting if he had a mafia/power role. Of course he could be using reverse psychology... I'm actually more interested in what ShaggyDan's case is. He's been pretty quiet through most of the game.

QFT. I remember making a similar statement in the Quentin game- which was perceived wrong. I think Dibbler's comments were due to inexperience, and not being sure how the game works.
