ASSASSIN QUESTION

Postby basic_man2010_20 on Mon Jul 25, 2011 6:01 pm

okay so your playing an assassin game on doodle (say doodle as this is the most realistic map for this to happen on) and your useing the nuclear cards.

so lets say player A starts his turn player B and C each have 1 territory left

player A has to turn in cards

player A just happens by chance has player B and C's territory card

Player A has to play the cards as its a mixed set and he dont have 3 of any single color OR they are the same color and only has 3 of a single color and not a mixed set

when he plays the cards he eleminates BOTH PLAYER B AND C

who wins??

A,D,E,F,G,H

thats assumeing its a 8 player game that has

A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H,

B and C BOTH get ELIMINATED who wins this game?

I think you should always be able to "pick" a winner if you choose how you use your cards. That is not random, as you seem to think. This has to do with the color of the cards. Then again, it should be possible to select the cards where you indeed get the situation of 2 eliminated players. Not sure what happens then. Probably the first one in row (like: red before green, green before blue, etc.) will be eliminated and the person who has the first target will be the winner.

the cards are ordered in seniority, so the first card recieved is played first. if that cards was C, then the hunter of C wins the game. B then gets elliminated but the game is already over.does this help?

Ah yes, that seems like a more logical explanation indeed, Seb. The seniority of the cards, over the sequence of players in the game. I think that is correct.

Still, I think a player should be able to pick a winner (or no winner) using his cards. I can't think of any scenario (of cards) where the players is forced to eliminate two players. At least, in the case the OP described.

JB, here's the situation in which is occurs.

You have 5 cards: 3 red & 2 blue/green (either or, but 2 of the same colour). You must therefore play the 3 red cards. If your 2 opponents are within the 3 red cards, this scenario occurs.

I think JB refers to a suggestions that allows you to oder the cards, for just such an occasion. I do not believe it made it, but if you could change the order then no more accidental kills in assassin due to nukes, provided you have a choice left. Sometimes you just get the wrong cards. It is very rare i think.

rrrgg
bbbrr
rrrbb
bbbgg
gggrr
gggbb

are all options that could force you to kill both players (unless you purposely skip a turn, but then you won't be able to take your turn at all)

rgbgb
rgbgr
rgbrb

are options where you might be forced to kill 1 player but not both of them (you always have a choice with a mixed set, but sometimes 1 of the cards is mandatory)

I agree. I believe the first spoil in the order of the set will be the first region to turn neutral.

So if your 2 opponents have only one region left, one holds Andy's Mountains and the other one holds Iceland, and your set is in this order:

Iceland
Andy's Mountains
Irakistan

Iceland will be the first region to be nuked.

okay well that makes since so that is/could be a possable flaw with the nuke system but it would really only matter when it came to assassin games.

a similar question,
what if all remaining players in a game deadbeat on precisely the same round in a freestyle game, who wins?

the player who finished the previous round? or just whoever is red (ie first in the game list) ?

first in the game list is the first deadbeater, even if all players deadbeated as often..
