Dear mods...someone missed 3 turns, but still wins game...??

Postby majorheadache876 on Sun Jul 17, 2011 10:00 am

[Q&A]

Typically, in a standard game, if someone misses three turns, they are automatically eliminated from the game for "missing too many turns". However; rubbernek, here in game 9321392 misses three turns, gets his due troops for the missed turns, then wipes me out! ( i would choose a crybaby "smiley" if you had one,)

Thanks a lot. Anyway, I'm guessing that because he's my last opponent, he won't be eliminated so as to leave me someone to play against.

I tried to find a previous question in the forum, but, no dice.

He has to miss 3 turns in a row. You can miss any number of turns, as long as they are not in a row. There is a thread in the Suggestions section about implementing a rule kicking people from the game for missing a total of 5 turns in a game.

I am sure of it; I have played games in which a player was eliminated three in total...

Yes this is NOT the case. It is 3 turns in a row.
from the instructions:
General Gameplay Notes
Missing a turn

In casual games you have 24 hours to take your turn before the game moves on. You must also finish your turn within 1 hour of starting it. In speed games you have 5 minutes to take and complete your turn. Either limit can cut you off in the middle of play, so keep an eye on the countdown!

If you run out of time you will lose any troops that have not been deployed and any spoils that have not been awarded.

If you miss a turn, you'll be compensated with deferred troops equal to the normal amount of troops received on the next turn that you do take (or double if you missed 2 consecutive turns). Deferred troops must be deployed in one shot after the assault phase.

You are automatically kicked out from the game if you miss 3 consecutive turns.
