Ok well I'm not sure I like the missdirection but I suppose it's partly the role of my little thread here.

The problem I have with the JWs is that in addition to them telling me they are absolutly right and infallible, two of them rarely understand and agree with each other's stance on why something is so important to their outfit.

The reasons I've been told that christmas is so wrong is usually due to the fact that.

1. We cannot put an exact date on when Jesus as a man was born so they don't accept the traditionally held December 25 as an acceptable time to celebrate.

2. December 25 was apparently converted from winter solstace which is a pegan day.

You should probably hide somewhere you're told by the watch tower society on a day like that incase God decides he's had enough and blows that day up.

3. Worst of all there is gift exchanging, this only promotes greed and all maner of nastiness.

Salva's friend is most likely in grave grave danger because gifts are from what I've been told by most of them are the worst part of any of these good...

Erm, I mean evil and pestulant days like christmas and birthdays.

In the case of birthdays the most vile gift exchange day of all, once a bad person asked for an innapropriate gift of a very good person's head. So if you have a birthday you'll probably do that eventually, therefore you must avoid such a practice.

I looked at their website once - just out of idle interest: there's a woman at my work who is/was a Jehovah's Witness - as I understand it, they seem to regard Jesus pretty much as what bits of the bible I've read do... I.e. that he is the son of God. Literally. Like some Muslims do. That is, not God himself, just the son of God. In which case, there'd be no reason for a religious Christmas as it stands - God wasn't born that day.

Maybe Aradhus might make it clearer - it'd be therapy for him/her...

Him. Ugh, honestly I generally forget bullshit. Jesus is the son of god. JW's totally reject the trinity, hell, and most other Catholic doctrines. Jesus wasn't actually born on december 25th was he? I'm fairly certain the bible suggests that Jesus was born around the time of harvest, which wouldn't be december.

My mom said she watched a show that sugested around march or so. I'm not sure what date or anything but thats just what my mom had told me.
So therefore more around spring if the show my mom saw was correct.

The spawns are doing real great. The three year old has quit beer.

When she was quite small she actually liked it even harsh lagers. Her biological grandfather gave her some killkenny while we were barbequeing. Then another time her other bio grandfather gave her some red wine and I thought, she just liked them because they were smooth but she had some molson once at the wife's step dad's, so I knew I would have to keep an eye on her when ever there was open beverages.

Also another time the wife had made a chilli with two cans of pickled jalapeneos when she was just taking solid food. I was eating plenty of spicy at the time and found it pretty powerfull I look over to see her eating it like ice cream.

So I was having a grandville island lager and she wanted some.

I was telling her to take a hike because I didn't want her drinking my beer. Then I was curious to see if she had developed taste buds because she's more like a normal kid now that only eats ketchup because mustard is too spicy.

So I let her try it sure enough it produced the spit take.

The two month old is still on the boob and Mrs. Dimes only likes peach archers with lemon aid. Since she can only get it in your neck of the woods there hasn't been any consumption by the smallest one so far. She even skipped having it at the man on the moon pub when we were on that side of the pond because he was still gestating. I believe I had a tetley's with my cheap steak sandwich though, delicious.
