So one way I'm accused by the Cult of Sabotaging the game for them if I let you overrun the deadline, the other way Im accused by the Town of Sabotaging the game because I do keep to the deadline.

Please tell me which I should do?...

Open communication. Update us often on deadlines set or changed or people replaced. I know I asked at least twice about whether the deadline has been changed or not.

Quite simply, deadlines aren't a 'feature' for cult to exploit. They are a mod tool, not a strategy

I can't speak for everyone but I'm not accusing you of sabotaging the game one way or the other. I believe that you believe you did the right thing. That being said, it doesn't change the fact that town was organized enough for the lynch, we just chose not to lay down the hammer up to that point precisely because we didn't believe we had a hard deadline yet, so we wanted to get as much information as we could while there was still daylight.

This. Whenever I have done a deadline (Or any of the mods that I consider to be the most reliable ones - Safari, Mr. Squirrel, etc.) deadline would come by for one of two reasons:

I) Activity is dead and there's not going on, so you are supposed to revive the game
II) The game has been painfully long and something needs to happen even though people are active - but then you give a decent deadline.

In this game, activity was great and we were really going somewhere - we didn't hammer Safari because there was no hard set deadline that would be confirmed (mods warn when there's say 1 day remaining, 12 hours remaining, etc.) and we thought that we had enough time to discuss everything (and there was a need for that). Now, due to that no lynch, town pretty much loses...

Haven't been following this game too closely since I was killed, but here's my 2c.

Whoever the culties are, do you really want to win like this?
This game was supposed to be a landmark, to signify out moving to a real forum and all that. Do you really wanna win it on what is at best a technicality and at worst a mod error?

if you guys would PM the mod to also ask for this to be reversed, i think Sax would have no reason not to do it. Win it for real, guys, it'll feel a lot more satisfying.

I dislike what happened as much as the next person, but I actually disagree with this statement. A good Godfather, goon, cultie, or even townie can most definitely use the deadline to his advantage. You can try to stall the town until deadline, try to force the town to move by pressuring the deadline, or even get the scum to slip up by waiting until the last minute to make a change in vote. All aspects of mafia can somehow be used toward advancing your win.

That said, I didn't like what happened either. I don't mind that the deadline was still in effect, that is the mod's decision, but I do mind that we weren't informed. It was obvious that we were all confused about the deadline so he should have given us at least a couple more days to sort it out.

Night 5

Night fell over quickly, too quickly for the towns liking, but little did they know that the quick night would prove effective.
Safari was staying close to his leader, as it had been told that he was the key to him winning, however he was unaware of two figures behind him. One of them pulled Safari away from the leader and the other one brought out a shotgun.

“This is for you motherfucker” he cried before firing it off straight into the face of Safariguy ho promptly died.

Safariguy5 Ender512 (Recruited Town Bomb turned protect) died.

In another part of town the cult was initiating a new member and one of their teachers was teaching his student.
“Left, Right, Up…, good we will take a break, meet me later.” As the student went the teacher was dragged by a man and beaten up in the gutter, and left for dead, he didn’t die as his student found him before it was too late, but was unable to pass on the rest of the knowledge to his student.

In another part of town the leader had his eyes set on another target. He approached his target and took him into the back alleyway.

“Come and be taught” he spoke before leading the person away.

Conquer Club was in anarchy. The Town and Cult trying to outdo each other. All they knew was that it would be over soon and as the Sun came up on another day they were hopeful that it may be the last.

Well, that proves I'm the vig. i vigged saf last night and there he is... Good game, saf. So I believe I know who the cult is... although I really shouldn't know... mod error? (it seems I got the PM from the mod to the cult recruiter, whatthium?)

So, saf really was town bomb. He just got recruited. I wonder why I'm not dead, maybe he lost his powers when he got recruited? Sorry we didn't believe you saf, but this is mafia, I guess.

But anyway I'm highly suspicious of jimfinn as he has not claimed yet. Vote jimfinn

And Mr. Squirrel, I guess that means that you didn't use your vig kill last night?

The scene says he was the "bomb turned protect." Does this mean he somehow had protection powers? It could be why you are still alive.

Regarding looking for a replacement, I think you shouldn't even bother. I didn't agree with PCM's statement at the time because I was trying to see if the situation would be fixed in a way that preserved the game, but TSL's confession seals it.

If shield was replaced, it would have confirmed that he was telling the truth about the mistaken PM. So it didn't much matter that TSL also confirmed it.
