Never played III, though for anyone playing strategy games, AOE is pretty low end. Give me civilisation or Total war...

Not strategy but Halo for the computer provides online fun for a LOOOOONG time.The demo is free at microsoft.com

Playd/own all of them. AoE II is one of my favourites. AOE 3 was good mechanics wise but the storyline/era was a bit meh.
