Fairplay in a 2 player game?

Postby Baby-Bjorn on Wed May 25, 2011 8:31 am

How can I [or anyone] play unfairly in a 2 man game? What? I favored my troops in Hong Kong over my troops in Bogota? LOL.

I got no problems if ya think I played poorly or had a bad Tude. Rate me there according to your opinions. No problem. But, IMHO, the fairplay rating for a 2 man game is meaningless :P

Or am I missing something?

In my opinion this is true. I can't think of any tactic that would be unfair to your advantage in a 2-player game.

Neither can I really, hm, and I play a lot of 1vs1...

Well I appreciate the input guys. I have been rated as not playing fair in a 2 man game. And I could not figure out what I did to do that! LOL. I thought I would throw it out here to see what you guys think.

So, if it is not applicable, then should it be counted?

Well Fair play rating could be affected in Free style. Some people use stall tactics that some folks thinks are cheap.

In sequential I'll ding fair play sometimes for those that wait until the last hour/minutes to take turn especially if I know they were online earlier. I rate it really low if I feel it's a multi. Missed turn deferred troops tactics reduce the fair play rating. Deadbeating takes it to 1.

So yes. Fair play comes into question on 1v1's.

"Hey man, want to have a truce with me? We can break it when all the other players are eliminated"
"man, this is a 1v1?!"

he he

yeah it's hard to form truces in 1v1, I don't like to play them all that much because i like taking big stacks in multiplayer games and sweeping the board with esc. spoils. But 1v1 games are good for speed games.

I suppose you could have a cease fire in a 1v1 and postpone the inevitable
for a few rounds while both players shuffle forces around.

Leaving banana peels all over the map would rate unfair play.

Interesting thoughts. Yeah the delay tactic could be construed as not playing fair. Those tactics are def cheap. So I guess there can be unfair play.

As for multi's burn em down baby! Anywhere, anytime, any site! I don't like multi's!

It's funny, I used to dock people who signed on but didn't take their turns. And now, I AM ONE OF THEM!!! that's what joining team cc will do to you. ;-)

I think jefjef nailed it. As far as being on earlier and not taking turns, I'm sure mine seems like it but generally as of late I play 5-15 minute intervals repeatedly throughout the day. So many games get low but I'm just slowly working thru them as I'm able.

Wat jefjef said can be found annoying, perhaps even cheap. But surely it's a fair strategy. CC made this game as it is, so you can and should use every strategy possible to win a game. In a 1v1 game, I disagree that's unfair play.

Maybe they misread it as a 'Backrubber,' since you were a comforting asset to the Team? :)
