My role PM said "Ralph Crandem". I just assumed it was some character that I hadn't heard of or it was made up.

Woops. That is most likely my mistake. It was Krandem. Little bit dyslexic with mixing letters as I type. Crandem although gives no info when googled...

Although if memory served right, I believe that you've got a history of forgetting parts of your role pm. What game was it where you lynched Aage when he was your scum buddy?

Hey, I have a special folder for all of my mafia role PMs now, so I can't forget them, nor can they be archived. ;)

The survivors had been active on this cold and stormy night. The door to the roof was left open for most of the night, lightening and thunder raged throughout the night.

The beds were full with passengers on this night. The smog from their exhaust making everyone a little lightheaded. In the seedy back corner, by the unused pillows, a group had formed. Two of the group read the map wrong and took the wrong routes but ended up at the same front door. Baffled by their appearance the man who answered the door left the room muttering
"They want me? Why me? All I've done is tell the truth"

Another man, smart enough to avoid the chaos that had formed, found said front door and gave one of the men a message. Two men in the shower area over, were watching when one man pulled a object from his back pocket and shouted "Rain City!!!!!" stabbing his compatriot in the chest. He fell to the ground as the man ran away. He then got up and wiped the mushy remains of a banana from his chest.

that made no sense. So the mafia didn't kill anyone? or are we not allowed to know who died?

Sounds like we might have a mafia with no kill? However, the first part of the scene seems to imply cult.

Cult? With this many players? No, probably not here... I agree with Edoc - kill was likely to have been blocked.

yeah, I agree. There's probably a roleblocker in this game. Maybe even two or three. If there's 2 or 3 busdrivers (depending on whether we believe saf and snow) then why not 2 or 3 roleblockers? Maybe it's more likely there's one roleblocker, and one jailkeeper. All we know is no one died ast night and that means most likely a roleblocking power somewhere, or maybe a protection role as well, one that doesn't kill or die?

So we know that the roleblocker blocked scum. Might be a good time to claim if you are, we probably got at least 1 mafia.

That's how I'd read it as well. I wouldn't say a cult is any crazier than 3 busdrivers, so I consider it a possibility.

If there is a cult, I know two of its members. This has to do with my role. I will claim and give the names of those involved if we determine there is a cult. If not, then I don't want to throw the players under the bus and force claims for nothing. They haven't seemed scummy to me so far.

I will go so far as to confirm that John Smith is not a member of any cult. He is far too brilliant to follow others blindly. He is however the honorary leader of the "John Smith is Awesome" club. We meet biweekly on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month. For information about the club or to join, please call 555-5555 or e-mail johnsmithisthebestpersonEVER@jsmith.awesome

Well this is definitely interesting. If we go back and look at the scene again:

The first part seems to be an indication of multiple busdrivers. However, it doesn't specify whether the busdriven were the cult or not. Depending on what evilchaos says, I might be able to clear someone of not being cult, but I have rather circumstantial evidence.

The more I read that scene, the more it seems like cult to me. I'll give out the names of the two that reached the front door.

I am a Mason Recruiter. I can recruit one person per night to talk to during the day. I got to talk to edoc today (it should be noted that this is NOT who I chose, definitely some busdrivers going on here). He's told me that he can talk to Yoshi today, but they both don't know why. After I made my first post, he confirmed that he and Yoshi are the two that reached the front door. He claims that Yoshi is Jailkeeper and Edoc is Roleblocker. I fail to see how that could balance well in a game of one mason recruiter, three (?) bus drivers, and probably a cult. Also, how would a Jailkeeper and Roleblocker have roles that could allow them to travel to a front door? The jailkeeper would be off in the jail. The roleblocker would be off blocking a role.

As for the Jailkeeper, I don't think that role even makes sense in this theme. Why would there be a jailkeeper in the asylum? Based on the original post by the mod, the keepers of the asylum are gone and we are all "wrongfully imprisoned" in the asylum.

He just told me he is muted for the day. I assume he told me so that I could tell you.

Protip evil. If someone talks to you through PM, don't go broadcasting it. You have a very powerful role, but it is a role that loses power when it is known. Between you me and Yoshi we would have had quite a bit of power in our hands for the day. It is now wasted for better or for worse.

For the record, this is scummy. With the number of drivers we have night actions and claims will mean little, even if all the drivers are town it will be a mess to sort out all the actions when we do not know all that is happening during the night.

My role is not all that powerful. I can talk to people, but what they tell me could be all lies. I can't trust you just because we can talk, and you shouldn't blindly trust Yoshi for the same reasons.

It is more important to me for this information to be known to everyone than for me to keep my knowledge a secret on the hopes that you and Yoshi are town. Considering that at least 2/9 are cult/scum and I know I'm not one, there is a 46.4% chance that at least one of you is anti-town (this is an accurate number found using a tree diagram, not something random). I can't wager the result of the game on what is basically a 50:50 chance.

Besides, why should I keep the info secret? Only scum needs to keep secrets.

I see so now it looks like both safari's and snow's claim are believeable.
I assume there is a roleblocker in the game because my night action failed, or something else fishy happened here. It seems like no kill happened last. So the fact that it seems we have a roleblocker and a jailkeeper make sense. To those of you who are this role, if it doesn't hurt to claim, who did you target last night? I think your names have already been spilled so I don't think there's much trouble in asking you to reveal your target.
Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to defeat all evil. -Ephesians 6 KJV
