map rank

Postby PROFITS on Mon May 16, 2011 11:27 pm

I quote ljex "First off asshole i would be way higher than a colonel with only sequential so dont fucking start the bull about me gaining my points from freestyle ". I am curious to see how I can look into this. I've heard of map rank, but never used it. When I try to use it the way instructed, it doesn't work. I have bob, but map rank doesn't work for me for some reason. It just pops up another screen that says the word "blank".

Anybody else care to check for me?

His score chart shows him making a dramatic climb about half way through his career here. Not sure if that's when he started playing freestyle or not :o

"way higher than a colonel" would make him a general only playing sequential? I wouldn't consider brig "way higher" than colonel.

Any way to estimate somebody's rank if they only played sequential? Just curious.

I checked our team games against each other and I'm pretty sure I had won 12 out of 23. That was by scrolling down and counting so could be off by 1.

Try downgrading to the previous version of Firefox, then run map rank they way you have been instructed. The latest update...4?...screws with map rank, hopefully it will be fixed soon but until then you need to downgrade.

Here is the map rank for ljex only using seq as a definer....

Map Rank For ljex
Options: Play Order: S
Map Rank Points Win/Loss Unique Defeats Kill Ratio Relative Rank
Totals Cook5954 -6154 1677 from 4149(40%) 2520 (142) Serial Killer (54%)4565 Equalitarian (0.919)

Map Rank seems to show otherwise... now granted it is a bit unfair to say he is minus -6154 since everybody knows no way he would be a cook, but lets see what he can do now that he has stopped freestyle. And no we should not take account these 1 vs 1's right now. No way he can keep that high of a rank playing 1 vs 1's against anybody who joins.
Highest Rank: 26 Highest Score: 3480

Still, it's very unreliable as well. A lot of those sequential losses are worth more points because he was at a higher rank at the time, so you really can't tell too much going by point losses alone. Every sequential loss was worth a lot more when he was general+

Yeah Im - 6000 points on sequential but the vast majority of that is not team games which i will be playing. Not to mention the fact that I am clearly better at freestyle than I am at sequential. Also map rank means shit about how good I am at sequential...just that I am better at freestyle not to mention most of that negative in sequential is from well over a year ago.
