Now, now - to be fair, I'd probably prefer to lynch you due to all of the small things that happened. There's no one big thing that would incriminate you and I'd love to discuss this more, but due to a coming deadline and that stuff, I'd sleep much better at night with you not being around.

So far the only people who said they don't want to lynch you are Strike and Tal (if I'm not mistaken). That leaves another 12 people who are either undecided or suspiscious of you. How is that everyone?

You said you would vote yourself if it came to it? Can you explain that please?

Better to see win as a dead townie then constantly have to fight every post that is made.

I totally disagree with this as well (Ironic, I know  ) - first of all, if you are actually town, you are supposed to fight till the very essence ends and a dead townie won't help town at all while fighting would actually help. My dear friend, I think you misplayed this one a bit and I'm sorry, but I'm not buying this at all (as I've said Jayne's not a very good guy even before you claimed). Shoot me if I'm wrong, but I will place my vote on you as the deadline looms.

That's fine... I have been more caught up in schoolwork than I care to be and I certainly screwed the pooch on this one. All the games I am in are ending or I am dead, so maybe this means I should work on my Golden Age of Mafia game...

 8-)

Shaggy, as you stated a few posts up, you should NEVER 100% believe claims. However, if I was a bad guy, wouldn't I have done a better job hiding my role?

Honestly, the same should be said if you were a good guy. Your idea of 'better to see the win as dead' basically says to me; 'I can't be bothered putting in the effort, so I'll just let myself be killed'. And I still would like to know the motive for your claim, you only had one person voting for you / making a case against you. That's hardly a 'fighting every post' situation.

I honestly want to believe Jayne is town, and if the claim was brought up in a different manner I may believe it. But the possibility (however slim) of it being anti-town combined with the behaviour of the claimer is too much to ignore. Combine that with the situation we're in as far as deadline and other cases and I can't see an alternative.

If you don't have time to put into it, instead of giving up maybe consider subbing out? I know it sucks to get caught up with other stuff, I don't blame you for that but I would have preferred you to sub-out compared to giving up. Even if you are a townie (which at this point I don't really believe) I would support a policy lynch in this situation due to behaviour and deadline.

Nark's claim was very suprising. In a game like this, i'ts unlikely for any jester role and slightly more likely for a bomb role but then Nark would've played this differently
I can see some scenarios in which it makes sense.

Nark saw some pressure building on him and wanted to get rid of it quickly, before a wagon grew on him and we would've lynched him because of time constraints and because Jayne isn't a particularly reliable character, so the risk would've been worth it.

Nark has a fake claim. Same as aboev, except nark is fakeclaiming, in a themed game scum are probably given fakeclaims and we haven't heard anything about his role besides his name. Maybe he saw pressure building on him and just as above wanted to get rid of it, thinking that a claim of Jayne would hold quite well

He has an alternate win condition. It's quite likely that Jayne is third party, and perhaps his win condition has something about being able to be recruited. If so, nark would wait for a plausible opportunity to claim, hoping that then he would be recruited.

Either way Nark is looking way scummy and I propose his lynch.

Yeah, the timing of the claim and his complete acceptance of the case I brought against him as true makes me think that he's not really putting much effort into it.

I kinda got steamrolled right after I claimed and I admit, after that, it just hasn't been worth it.

I've played really poorly this game and I do apologize to the players and mod for that.

My advice? Just go play the game, if you are really distraught I can replace you, but you seem to be moping around more then your current position is worth.

W/e deadline approaches.

Moping? Firstly, it's an internet forum game. I apologize because it is polite to do so, not because it is tearing me up inside. I claimed because I thought it would be a good idea at the time, but doing so has been more trouble than it's worth.

Vote: Nark

Hi guys. I apologize for my lack of activity but, at the present time, I am unable to muster enough time, energy and taste for argument (too much stupid fights in real life :( ) to play decent mafia. I apologize for taking so long, I should have done this sooner.

Please replace me, Edoc.

I am not sure that he is town, but he has hinted at it. I will say for the record, I am not involved with Nark in any way. However, it appears he is voting himself since he is frustrated with the arguing, not because he actually is scum.
