oh, okay that makes sense.
I guess I didn't give a reason for my suspicions of safariguy.
My suspicion of him was largely based on the fact that his first post recognizes that there may be an existence of a cult, and while that may be the case, I thought he have been more aware of it because he had something to do with the cult. His defense for that was that as an experienced player, he would not mention such things if he were part of a cult, but, everyone slips up. So i was thinking maybe he mentioned it on accident and then used his experience as a backer to keep him from getting lynched. Maybe he's not part of a cult, but I don't know. And in my ignorance as to his alignment I decided he must be part of the cult he mentioned. That's the main reason why I was suspicious of him; because of his first post.

He's at L-5. This weekend has been a bit slow, so we should wait until more of the town has chimed in before you start 'demanding' a claim. I realize that with his shoddy defenses, more people will give him votes, he will probably end up claiming anyway, but it's suspicious how people are demanding a claim after 3 votes (he is now at 5). Cult recruiter looking for power roles???

My vote is staying on for the pitiful defense attempt. You seem like your goal is to placate the town and avoid being lynched. Your goal as a townie is to lynch scum. These two goals turn into different foci within players' posts, and yours are all toward the avoid lynching one. NOT PRO-TOWN.

Most of us thought it was suspicious that safari jumped to cult recruiter so quickly, but there simply wasn't enough to go on to force a real bandwagon. If you would be willing to join in on such weak evidence, something is probably amiss.

The reasoning was absurd then and it is absurd now. Was this going to be the core of the case you were planning against saf? I believe there are mafia in this game, but that doesn't make me mafia. Likewise in any game of this size there is almost certainly going to be a cult. The slightly more refined point was the fact that saf mentioned that they were recruiters, whereas it wasn't explicitly stated in the scene, but even so, it was highly likely.

Either you got caught up in the bloodlust and you should just admit it (knowing that your credibility in this game will be damaged), you have other information in which case now is the time to reveal it, or you were blatantly bandwagoning in which case you were highly scummy.

Either way I'd like to hear more so I vote shield

As an aside, regardless of whether we believe shield, I think we need to be careful not to lynch too quickly. We need to make sure we have enough time to uncover leads for day 3 as well.

To be fair, as far as leads go, I'm cool with going after Firth due to his day 1 actions, but yes, you are right - there's no need to hurry.

For the record shield, it wasn't like I was just plain guessing about cult, I specifically referenced the first day scene with the relevant passage about the possibility of there being cult. If there had not been any day scene leading off Day 1, I would have had no basis for thinking there was a cult and then your accusation would have been more valid. But the mod obviously dropped a hint in the day scene about there possibly being one, and it sounds like they recruited someone judging by the Day 2 scene.

I'm just chronicling what I saw on D1. There was definitely a bandwagon against safari for that statement, even if you think it was wrong.

No question about it. I can see where it might be scummy, but I'm in belief that he's not a cult.

Well, screw me silly! This is quite the bandwagon, if I ever saw one. Shield's claim could very well shed light on more than just his role...

I'd prefer both, unless you have a pretty good idea of which mods are affiliated to each admin.

He probably said that because it would be easier to get a counter claim on a mod than a role itself.

I get that. But what keeps him from being mafia and saying his correct mod name (with 0% counteclaim chance)? Had Hank said Nagerous yesterday, nobody would have counterclaimed. Would that mean he is town?

If you don't know which mods are town and which mods are mafia (and perhaps which mods are cult), then saying the mod's name means nothing.

This is true. I countered the role, not the mod. Mod name can still be important, but nobody can really counter based on that. We can't determine which mods go where until we have more info.

Yeah, and I'd say it would be difficult to determine which mods might be mafia. Besides maybe wicked. And I'm pretty sure it would be as clear cut as say "all the tech mods are town" or "all the entertainment mods are mafia".

And considering I think that an official site-sponsored event would not want to bring up that fiasco, I'd call her a safe bet to be out of this.
