GUILDS!?!

Postby zredcard on Thu Mar 22, 2007 4:23 pm

#1) This site + game is great. I love the way you guys set it up.
***Something id like to emphasize is the simplicity yet complexity of conquer club.
***I would hate to see conquer club start using finicky java loaders or shockwaves.

It is perfect for the casual gamer - perhaps even for the intense ones too. I know that I love how I can access this site via any computer I go on.

#2) GUILDs?
Im just exploring this idea -
but perhaps a guild feature? A way that that you could implement it is:

*Allow creation of guilds by high ranked players - like only Colonel's or Generals.
*Distinguish guilds by adding a tag ex. [FTW] in front of the guild members.
*In the Game Menu add a "my guild" feature were the GM (GuildMaster) members can view their guild's info / post msgs, etc...
*Only let the GM modify the "my guild" page - makes things simpler

However, something that is rather iffy is what would happen when guildmembers are playing with each other (problems like raising a player).
--However, it's probably already very common where people play with one - another's friends -- so a guild wouldn't be that much different.
--I think guilds would be a great ++ to creating a closer community and a great way to incr. intrest in doubles/triples games. <--- such games already constitute a majority of games i believe?

*keep a competitive atmosphere
*have a MAX amt of people per guild
*don't allow people from the same guild to play in FFA games (team-based games would be fine)
*allow intra-guild competitions - guild vs guild. like tournies.

-anyone care to expand!? =D.

Ima just exploring some ideas while i wait for my turn to come around =D.

Sounds like you’re talking about clans… which already exists.

And not only that – you’re discussing your ideas from a very narrow perspective, like “Guild Masters” etc.

Dunno. Why implement a stiff, inflexible version of something that already is out there?

Please do not implement something like guilds. This isn't some silly crap like everquest.

We already have clans, which are basically guilds. They are also called Usergroups.
