Ok wow what a D1. Definitely some rampant BWing going on. I've got a few suspects, but since the deadline is fast approaching, I'll hold off naming anyone until D2. That being said, regretfully I will not vote for Drabod. While his vote of target after the claim was scummy, I view it as no more scummy than some of you guys bringing into question target's sanity. We have no way of knowing yet if there are even multiple cops.

Don't know if anyone answered your question, target. No lynches are scummy for a couple of reasons. The only threats to mafiosos (or third parties) are vigilante and serial killer kills and lynches. Vigilantes and SKs aren't always guaranteed to even be in the game (and even if they are vigs often may target townies as well), so the only surefire method against them is lynching by majority vote. When someone advocates a no lynch early in the game, it could mean you're either mafia, or some sort of killing role eager for the night.

Meh, attempting to lynch a cop is almost as scummy as contemplating on the flavor of the game. I guess I feel differently. Everyone in Dexter is a cop, I can't envision there being only one. If I had to pick a sanity for "Jesus" I would say naive or sane, not insane or paranoid.

Actually, there are really only four cops to deal with in an episode of Dexter. Two Hispanics, one black and one who is Dexter's sister. I wouldn't think there would be many more than that. And claiming a cop with ANY name- since the name's have been changed around- really guarantees nothing.

Yea, ONLY 4 cops.

With the naming thing, that's why I didn't care much about the names, only the fact that the name was Hispanic and male. Leaves one option. Guarantees a lot if someone tries to pull a fast one without knowing much about the series.

Can I ask why you feel you should wait a day? Even with the deadline, if you feel you have leads it would be best to get them out now. If they are good enough we might even get a worthwhile lynch today. Thing with stating that you'll save them for later is that it can come across as scummy (In a "I'm going to mention I have suspects to appear to be contributing, but leave out any info on that until someone does something I can jump on") or mafia could kill you and thus silence any possible leads you might bring up.
Unless there is some other reasoning for not mentioning them now, I ask you to reconsider waiting a day. More discussion each day will be best for us in the end.

I'm not really seeing what was so scummy about the comment of drabod :? But I do not have any alternative leads for now.
Somehow I managed to miss that announcement that the character names were changed. Guess that would explain why I had such difficulty googling it 8-[

With the latest string of miami was abuzz with panic. Nrighbors gathered in the streets in a blind panic with accusations flying as the police seemed unable to gain any ground. Turned against each other the accusations flew. One man even held a knife to another's neck before being pulled away. At the end though none of them made any progress and with the sun setting they were forced to retreat to their homes or risk becoming another victim.
night 1 begins. Send in your actions.

Night will last between 48 and 72 hours depending on how quickly people are able to get their actions in. Try to get your actions in at leasr 6 hours before day starts.

Captain Wolfe had just gotten off of a tough day at work. The media had been giving him fits about the recent killings and he had been running around the building doing damage control. He didn’t mind it too much, he enjoyed being in the police officers face when he gave the orders and he loved being in front of the media cameras even more. Only unlike most times, where they were congratulating him on a successful drug bust or a capture of a mobster the media had been hassling him about how the department was handling the latest string of murders. It was not his normal environment and he decided to grab a couple drinks to take the edge off and maybe a quick round of golf as soon as he could find a day off. After a few hours and a couple glasses of the bar’s most expensive Scotch, he headed out through the parking lot and began to walk home. Unaware of the man behind him.

A key clicked into a small apartment and a man entered the room, one night removed from his latest playmate and weary like most others from a long day in Miami dealing with it’s latest string of murders. Half-asleep as he entered the apartment he almost didn’t notice it at first until he took a second look. Stepping into the kitchen to take a closer look. Someone had left a Barbie’s head on his fridge attached to a magnet…he flicked it a couple times and the head bobbled. He wondered who could have possibly left him such a message and why but he had little time to ponder when his cell phone went off.

The voice on the other line had informed him that he needed to come to a location across town citing a particularly urgent, yet unclear reason. Driving past cars in their usual homicidal rage common to Miami drivers. He arrived at the scene just as a crowd of reporters were gathered around despite the fact that the Miami Sun was just starting to cast a glow on the horizon. It was obvious that something big had happened here and as he stepped through the crime tape flashing his laminate at the officer guarding the perimeter he saw why.

He took a long look at the scene. A large dark puddle had spread onto the sidewalk and in the center lay the body of Captain Wolfe. Another note of the location made it clear he had been heading back from the bar when he was attacked. Multiple arteries had been severed and it was clear that it was a quick death.

Skoffin-Captain Wolfe-Town Roleblocker has been killed.

Alright, scene tells us on good thing, Dexter is a good guy, as he is not involved in the kill. I assume also due to the nature of the kill and the whole flavor of the movies that we have only SKs, no mafia.

I would say roleblockers, vigilantes, serial killers, and cops.

And obviously, I also agree that Dexter didn't do this, as anyone who has seen the show knows this was the Ice Truck Killer, what with the drained blood and all.

The way Skoffin was killed is exactly the way that the Ice Truck Killer murdered his victims. The Barbie heads and drained blood were his calling cards. He was Dexter's nemesis in the first season, though that's all I'll say so I don't ruin the show for you. ;)

Dexter kills killers, as he is a serial killer. Fortunately it appears we do not have to find and kill him. Also, in the show there are no "groups" of bad guys, just individual killers. The flavor didn't seem like a mafia kill, not with the ritual strait from the series.

I don't want to spoil the fairy tale, but there is another killer. Unfortunately I don't know who he is, but he punched me into the hospital last night. From the PM I received from the mod, he is an "unfamiliar man".

So Dexter may still be third party. Or even scum.

Interesting. Still, it doesn't sound like dex, it sounds like a kicker, someone who can only kill those who are bulletproof. Dex had only one victim he didn't kill, and that one was left full of heroin for the cops to find and throw his ass back into jail. I doubt dex was the one who beat you.
