Anti-Multi-Logging Program

I am somewhat new to this site but I have already noticed that multilogging is a somewhat common problem that has the potential to spoil a lot of games and waste a lot of time, not to mention destroy the integrity of the whole game itself especially in tournament situations. I am not very computer geeky so I am not sure if this is possible but it seems like one solution that would at least cut down on some of the multilogging activity would be a program built into games that automatically eliminated any two players who used the same IP. This would not count for games where this sort of thing is legal like team games of course, but that should be an easy thing to do technically. Let's face it, by the time someone realizes that multilogging is happening the game has already been unfairly unbalanced, right? So why not nip it in the bud? Thanks for reading!

Funky

Specific Details:

1)Built-in Multilogger auto game ender program
Any two accounts who log in with same IPs in the same game will automatically become losers of that particular game and perhaps be banned.

2)Remaining players will have the chance to start the game fresh without the cheating individual(s)

[b]How this will benefit the site and/or other comments

This will benefit the site by giving fair playing players peace of mind and not feel like they are not on an even field.

This will stop a few of those that are not technically advanced, however so will the current methods we use to keep multi's out, and our current methods don't cause problems with regular members on CC not being able to play.

I know at times the multi hunters have hinted that they put a lot of time into multi hunting. If there was an automatic system established whereby the following was put into a log on the backside, perhaps some members would feel more comfortable:
-identification of players who played in the same games together (as opponents not teammates)
-identification of players who came in from the same IP (at any point in time)

If that can be logged on the backside, perhaps the multi hunters could spare some time in their search?

There are people on here who play against friends. My wife and I played against real life friends.

You assume that people playing from the same IP are cheating. Some people play from work or school and might not even know each other.

Again that is assuming that the people playing from the same IP are cheating.

The time put in to multi hunting is not finding possible multi's, there are plenty of ways to find possible multis. The time is expended in investigating the possible multi's, trying not to bust legit accounts.

Idea has merit, but...

1) they'd have to figure out how to handle public systems like libraries and schools that a variety of people may play from.
2) a way to handle private accounts that have "announced" additional members.. family members are likely to all carry the same ip address.
3) Some internet accesses give the same ident for a wide range of people. I know that in one chat venue I went to, years ago, the next day my i.p. was banned. Questioning it, I found out that the i.p. was banned from someone else messing around, someone who used the same dialup system I did (happened to be Juno) who could have lived as much as 130 miles away of me, because Juno dialups used the same i.p. address for a 160-mile range, starting 30 miles north of me to 130 miles south.

Well, yeesh, that looks rather difficult to do with an automated system after all, so maybe the idea has less merit than I'd thought.
