At the time i was asked for the truce, Chaegan was holding the Austrian Empire but was incredibly week. By this i mean he had only 1 troop guarding one of the territories adjacent to me to da South. I was in Poland, Prussia, Russia & Scandinavia wit my main troop base in Germany/Poland. So i had 2 options for my 3 gos. Move out from Germany South into Chaegan in Austria and break his bonus or go west to
A) take my card
&
B) attack the strongest player at the time who was Renzuki.
Was a no brainer which option was best to keep the game in da balance but problem was Chaegan had slyly asked me for a truce wen he basically had me boxed in. So i was gonna have to take out 1 or 2 of his teritories no matter which course of action i pursued.
I decided to do wat was best for keepin the game in da balance. Thus leave Chaegan alone as best i could, leave his bonus intact, take up his offer of a truce & head out west. Along the way i came across Cearrbhach who had very little territories left so i tryed to knock him out but failed. I stayed true to my initial goal though and took 4 territories (including Paris) off the strongest player at the time, Renzuki while the collateral damage ofc being 2 territories (Hessen & Belgium - relatively nothing territories, containing 1 man each & unrelated to any bonus he may or may not have had) belonging to Chaegan.
Maybe i should never have accepted the truce but the problem was that we had one stand out strongest player and for me to invest my 20+ troops into launching an all out assault on the 'alleged victim' here would have gifted the game to Renzuki who at the time in question was already firmly established as the strongest player. And make no mistake about it, Chaegan was at his weakest (to an assault from me at least) wen he asked for that truce (thus why he asked for it i imagine) and i could have easily put an end to his influence on da outcome of the game right there and then, but i chose not to for the good of the game.
I belive this is the 2nd time i have been 'bitten' by this slippery snake.

I'll defo know better from here on in.
Sincerely,
Major Pain
P.S. I even left an explanation & apology in da game log for having to hit his 2 regions so it wasn't as if i was tryin to pull a fast one.
Ye have been warned. Beware of the snake that is Chaegan!^^
