But I've had my angry eye on karel this whole friggin' game, actually thought my vote was on him... C'mon, he's dug his own grave!

But to lynch somebody day 2 without giving him a chance to respond would be uncouth. Hell, L-2 is kinda risky in itself. I like risk though.

karelpietrje, you are officially on notice.

I'm willing to give him a bit more time but ignoring this thread definitely doesn't add to his credibility.

Yeah its hard to look credible when your main contributions are lurking, fosing everyone who accuses you, and only voting on bandwagons

Scene

In the middle of the day, amid discussions about various players, the mod was struck down by a bad case of the staph. After resuming, suspicion landed squarely on karepietertje for his apparent lack of focus and participation. He was surrounded by a group and thrown out of a fourth story window.

karelpietertje, Max Cherry (Town Jailkeeper) has been lynched!

It is now Night 2, please get your night actions in within a timely manner.

Scene

Two figures met under a streetlight as midnight approached. The violence of the past days had not extinguished their love for each other. Unfortunately, each was so intent on meeting, they had not noticed a shadowy figure watching them from a dark alley. A .45 drowned out their screams, and they were reduced to two bodies within 10 seconds.

aage-Shosanna Dreyfus (Town Lover) has been killed!
spurgistan-Frederick Zoller (Mafia Lover) has been killed!

In another part of town, a man stepped out for a cigarette. The innocent blood that had been spilled worried him. A pair of hands reached out and a large knife ended any emotions he had.

Fircoal-Mr. Orange (Town Miller) has been killed!

It is now Day 3. I remind everyone that a good understanding of each film will greatly help in this game. Merry Christmas everyone and let's get back to work.

With 9 alive, it takes 5 to lynch.

Well other than shosanna and fred not really being lovers in the film what do people think? If mr. Orange is a miller (meaning an investigation would have him turn up guilty for anyone not aware of the role) what does that mean about Mr. White aka naxus or whoever is the latest to replace? To be honest I'm a bit gun shy after day 2...I was convinced karel and tails were mafia now that's been disproven with karel and tails is probably town...for the kills themselves not sure. First pretty much looks like badly communicative mafia or more likely sk and second one possible vig kill? I guess I should reread again...

The whole mr white/orange thing was a stretch as they might be connected with orange being a possible mafia spy.

Okay I am quite concerned for our odds right now. We started with 16 players, and we've lost 7, 6 of whom were townies. I'm guessing about 40% (3-4) are mafia (remember they've only lost one), and only 5-6 are town. And I'm concerned that no one else has spoken up about this.

So, to throw out my biggest suspicions at the moment:

FOS ga7 and Violet.

ga7-- The most outspoken against karel, along with spurgistan. Normally I would think both ga7 and spurgistan too good to associate with each other, but these posts from ga7 kinda threw me off:

ga7 wrote:
karel wrote:I think claiming Mr. White like that is clever.
However, looking at my own role, I can conclude that whether or not the roles are protagonists in the movies doesn't matter, and that whether or not they are maffia kind of depends on what they do compared to the average citizen.

Mr. White is not quite the nice person. is he not the one cutting off an ear and almost burning alive a man who won't speak up? That's what the maffia would do.
I don't think claiming Mr White should get you a walk-free with no specifications on mafia/town
karel wrote:My role fits the model of good people being town perfectly, so as far as I know bad people (of which Mr White is one, damnit! He even shoots a cop in the closing scenes of Reservoir dogs!) are scum.

Unless your role has really interesting features, which if so, you please explain, you're scum to me.
I think there's a huge contradiction there. I think he must have been first looking at his real role, then at his fake claim. Looks like solid evidence to me.

Vote Karel

He brought up the contradiction, which I also found interesting. However:

ga7 wrote:About the protagonist argument, you're right I might have misinterpreted it.
I find the argument a bit silly since as Mandy pointed out day one there's way too few good guys in Tarantino movies, and most of the guys in Reservoir dogs are better than most, but it's true the nuance between protagonist and good guy is valid.
Anyway I find useful the above post indexing all your posts as reading them together they're showing it's still the best case so far IMO. You clamored a lot being a good guy and since Saf advertised he gave great fake claims I wonder how good your claim could be :P

It's interesting that he retracted his statement after I agreed with him about the karel's supposed contradiction. Maybe he was trying to distance himself from me, who has drawn some fire myself?

Vio is suspicious not only because she has submarined since the 11th, but pmchugh was giving me some weird vibes. Honestly I don't have much to post about him, but I just have a gut feeling.

You have to take in account both Karel and me are not native english speakers. By protagonist I took it to be good guy, then realized it could have a different meaning. I'm surprised no one pointed that out to me before Karel since it seems more clear in english after checking the definition. That didn't change the fact I thought he was likely scum though, but I do find pretty sad that the wagon went on to lynch without any claim when Karel was still around. I'm more suspicious of Victor at this point, gonna have to reread on him/AoG, although it's also interesting that you agreed with my statement but ultimately didn't vote at all Tails :P
Regarding the Mr Orange business, the fact he's a miller makes it more likely for Mr White to be town IMO.
I'm afraid with only 1 scum dead and 9 alive out of 16 we could be to LyLo already, especially since that scum was just a lover. Hoping someone did something useful tonight for now... Though I have more and more the feeling this game is poor in power roles :P

If Mr. Orange came out as a miller (he was a 'good guy' in respect to the film) a miller as in would come out as scum when he is actually town this makes me a hella lot more suspicious of naxus and Mr. White's role.. it seems that people are trying to distance themselves from this argument, which makes me think that mafia are subtly trying to make us pressurise other players so that we avoid targetting their more exposed members (no jokes about exposed members please).

This.

Mr. Orange being a miller seems to indicate that the robbers are the bad guys(and Mr. Orange only appeared to be one of them)
