<YAWN> Sad thing is you actually believe I tried to skew the poll. :-^

It's simply a business based question directed towards it's customers. ](*,)

Yes you are satisfied with the gaming experience CC is providing. As it is. It's a product you would recommend to a friend...

I would be a bit concerned if 30 some % were answering no...

The general population? No...not even close. A percentage of the forum population? Yes. But that's a tiny percentage of the general population.

When political pollsters poll they only actually contact a very very very tiny % of voters.

Even though the claimed % of forum visitors is very small MOST of the site improvements/changes is driven/influenced by the few.

The games are honest. I've had bad drops and drops, bad dice and good dice.

But at the end of the day, this simple thing has kept me going: It's just a fucking game on the fucking internet

I like how a lot of Colonels complain about the dice. Must be hard to have such a high rank.

So let's change the site for the minority. If 100% of the site voted, and 30% said "No", they would want CC to change, and ignore the 70% who like it as it is.

Higher rank means you can't comment on whether you think the road to that rank was gotten / lost fairly? Maybe some majors or coronels would be even higher (or lower) had what he says.
In the end of the day, its one of many opinions, grouped in with the rest.

I agree 30% wanting change isn't enough - clearly 70% would like it @ that point.

I don't think its manipulated to dash certain people's dreams, but I definately don't see some of the "randomness" that should be there. I've experienced some pretty unbelievable streaks - for the good and bad - but having those huge streaks happen so often doesn't seem to match up with what you'd expect @ random.

I think the polls a nice indication of overall satisfaction for CC to look at, but I dont think it gives them any usable information. There would need to be more specific polls asked based on the results and comments on this thread to find out any tangible info, imho.

I disagree - this poll doesn't have mutually exclusive options. I voted for option 1 because overall I am satisfied. However if the result of the poll says that 30% of customers are dissatisfied that tells CC that a large group are unhappy and that changes are needed to enhance the site. Making changes to accomodate the dissatisfied customers doesn't have to be at the expense of the satisfied customers.

If the question was "should CC change the dice" or "should CC make xyz enhancement" then you would go with the majority. This poll will give CC a gauge of just how serious the issue of dissatisfaction is within its' most active members. Taking action to support these member, even if they are a minority, is common sense.

i don't see why the higher-ups would pay atention to this poll at all

30% of a small group of players are dissatisfied, so what

70% of the small group are satisfied & the other 99.99% of the players on this site are not upset enough, if at all, to visit the forum & vent

remember, the forums are where the dissatisfied congregate

to locate the satisfied go here, select 'Active' and hit 'Search'

Or read the numbers here viewtopic.php?f=4&t=102006 to see the number of dissatisfied customers. Perhaps most of the other users just leave the site without visiting the forums.

This thread doesn't claim to be representative of the entire community, it is a tool to help CC make decisions by focussing on the area of the community which is most accessible - forum users

Interesting....

What exactly do you mean by "invest"? Actually invest or simply buy a membership? Huge diff....

I have been here practically since day one; I bitch about the dice and have threatened to quit many times over it, yet.....here I remain because I absolutely love this place....lol.

I have bought a half dozen memberships for friends in my anger too....what an idiot....lol

I feel there's a bit of a problem with the poll in that the only two options are basically "It's the bestest thing ever!" and "it's complete bullshit".
