CC Customer perception. ~Poll~

The maps are superb and many fun people are part of the CC community.

What are your honest thoughts about CC game play? The drops - 1st goes - card draw - dice. Are you happy with the game play? (The reason we invest time and $$ in CC)

90 day poll. 1 vote.

Happy holidays all!~\

EDIT: Poll reworded per the insightful suggestion of AndyD. ;)

I have no problems with dice, cards or drops. It seems I'm the only one who is actually enjoying the gaming experience nowadays. I have recommended this site to friends and they are paying customers as well. Didn't hear them complain either, except for the occasional dice rant we all need now and then.

Also, my clan makes this place enjoyable as well. I would highly recommend going in a clan to anyone who is not having fun anymore. There are so many fine people here.

This is a stupid thread. If anyone can honestly answer "I believe the games are manipulated - There is a problem, I am dissatisfied as a customer and mostly not enjoying my game experience." then they should re-evaluate being in the forums and playing on this site at all. I would expect the poll to stay at 0 for that answer, but it probably won't because of some ignorant person.

Well thank you for for input. ;) This stupid thread was created mainly due to behind the scene conversations.

What is stupid about CC seeing if their customers (us) are happy with the product they sell and hope we purchase?

So keep your flames to yourself cuz that was not why this thread was created.

Nice post JBlombier.

Agree with everything JBlombier said. Nice one.

And I agree with Chuck in this regard only:

From what I've seen, plenty of nitwits think CC is cheating them

I don't think many really believe the games are manipulated. A more accurate second poll question may be something like 'Do you think Conquer Club is doing enough to ensure the integrity of the game...blah blah'. I think that has been the concern from the otherside---not that Conquer Club is out to get them, but that Conquer Club may not be doing enough. A La disaster response sort of critique I think.

it's not that they are manipulated per sae.. it's that the dice are NOT random. read what CC says about it's own dice 'generator'...then ask yourself if that is how your board game at home handles it... I am an Analysts.. I do this very thing for a living.. and I can tell you, CC dice are weighted and the whole process they use to 'generate'their 'random'numbers is bogus.

well I do enjoy the game experience obviously... or I wouldn't be a part of this. But must confess that sometimes I just don't understand the randomness of the dice - it's really nervous wrecking when you keep losing roll after roll of 3v1 - especially when the entire game depends on that one round.

( could the random engine be improved.....? is there some flaws in it? )

...I think that there's one option missing there:

-Do you feel the Random Engine has targeted you and made you the innocent victim of its twisted perversions? :o O:) O:) :D

How many different polls are we going to have to suffer through on these subjects? If someone is paying money here while thinking the games are actually unfair, then that person is an idiot.

maybe this could be a sticky too... i mean, the other sticky about dice has a whopping 154 votes as of this post. this is asking the same thing in a different way, it is tiresome... and again, less than 3 percent of CC users visit the forums, so there is no way you will ever receive an accurate "polling" of CC's customers... there is nothing wrong with the gameplay, random.org still has a fully detailed scientific explanation of how the dice work and what makes them random, and despite a significant fall off in the level of moderation the community is chugging along quite well... nothing to see here, move along...-the black jesus

I read your wall, unfortunately you have no clue what you are talking about. If you're interested, I can try to help you.

The issues I see are:

1. Some maps have unfair drop locations and the Foundry does not have a method/process to go back and rework the XML of old maps
2. When starting with a number of territories divisible by 3, there is a first player advantage
3. 1v1 games are too luck based IMHO

I'm very satisfied with the RANDOMNESS of the intensity cubes (not saying they are fair, but RANDOM which is the goal) and same with the spoils.

If this site was well run, this poll would of been created by the owner, not a paying customer. That says it all really. Oh and the dice are shit. And submitting an e ticket is a like trying to get an answer on flight times at Heathrow during a snowstorm.

And some more flames. Happy holidays to you as well.

This poll/thread is something CC should want to learn from us. As pedro pointed out it should be THEM reaching out to us, the customer, to see how they are doing with the product they are selling. Voicing dissatisfaction/concerns or wishing for site improvement is not what equates to idiocy...

Have a nice day and thanks to the few that have actually contributed to this thread. It's nice to hear from those that are absolutely happy too.

Some points of clarification (about which I could be mistaken... I'll leave that to jefjef):

(1) I believe this poll deals with more than just dice (as compared to the stickied poll); there are elements of gameplay involved as well.
(2) I do not believe this poll deals with the forums.

I would also like to note that improvements to the website can be suggested in the suggestions forum (for those that don't know or perhaps have forgotten).

Jefjef, maybe it is hard for you to realize, but my post was not a flame. You asked for an opinion and my post was very much on topic. If you have any higher education whatsoever, or even a statistics class, then you would realize that all polls can be skewed to get whatever answer the poller desires. In this instance, your poll is "stupid" as I said before (not to be a flame) because (I thought the reasoning was obvious, but I suppose I have to explain it to you) you left every person polled with only two options and those options are not straight forward with only one subject in them. Let's digest both options.

Option 1 - "It is honest games - I would recommend CC to my friends and gladly invest money here."

Now what happens for a person who thinks it is an honest game and would invest money here (because they are already premium) but they wouldn't recommend it to their friends.
What about the person who thinks it is an honest game and has recommended it to his friends but wouldn't invest money here for other reasons (they don't think it is worth wasting money on a gaming website)
And what about the person who gladly invests money here and has recommended it to his friends but absolutely doesn't think it is an honest game because farmers run the scoreboard?

Option 2 - "I believe the games are skewed - There is a problem, I am dissatisfied as a customer and feel CC could do more to ensure game integrity."

Again, you are forcing someone to answer four questions lumped together in one. These four questions are, do you believe the game is skewed? Do you think there is a problem? Are you dissatisfied? And do you think CC could do more to ensure game integrity? What about the people that don't think the answer to some of these questions is yes and no to others?

What you have effectively done, is forced people to pick which option is closest to their actual opinion but I would venture out to guess that neither option encompasses the entire opinion of probably 75%+ of the people that submit a vote. I would also guess, with the way these two are worded that a majority of people are going to pick Option 1 (as it seems they already are from the poll) because Option 2 sounds way to drastic and as I said before, if anyone selects option 2 and truely believes each part of it, then they honestly should re-evaluate themselves whether they want to be on this site or not.

The humor I find in this entire thing is that YOU are the poller and it seems you are trying to prove a point to the site that most customers are not happy with things and as I stated before, in a poll like this, the poller has the ability with wording to skew the poll either way and it seems that you have skewed this poll to say exactly opposite of the point you are trying to prove.

A+ post. I'm really rather unhappy with some changes and some things that go on, but I like CC as whole and I still recommend to my friends, because this is probably the best internet gaming I've stumbled on so far. I don't think CC's way to treating their customers is an exemplary way to do it, but there's nothing perfect in this world. If it would be that bad, no one would still be in here. Also, a good idea is to relax and take a time from this - perhaps 2 weeks - and then come back refreshed and motived. Dice-rapes, suiciders and idiots don't annoy you nowhere near as much. Just relax, chill and enjoy the site - and hopefully the admins will slowly improve and take out the bad things from the system.
But... It was so artistically done.

Voted that I believe the site to be fair and fun. Obviously I (as do all) wish my dice were better at some times, and wish I got to go first in more 1v1s but overall the randomless is there. If I didnt believe the site to be honest, I wouldnt pay money to be here, simple as that. People who complain about the rigged nature of the site, then go on to give lack $25, rewarding the corruptness of the site are obviously morons.
Nice thread jefjef, It should provide the CC higher ups with a solid piece evidence to see what the general population. When I voted the community was at about 2:1, 2 parts positive, 1 part negative.

Flames? If you are paying money to someone so that they can cheat you, you ARE an idiot. That's not a flame. It's a statement. I did not call YOU an idiot. I can't speak to whether you fit that description or not...only you can.

However, you started a poll on a subject that already has the same sort of a poll stickied at the top of this forum. That doesn't seem particularly...un-idiotic.
